  • Long live the french canadian vindoose!

  • Can Canada please take Michael Moore?

  • you should watch the movie passchendaele if you havent already, its sad but amazing to see what kind of stuff happend.

  • More interesting than hearing Americans say "if not for us, you'd be speaking German!"

  • canada has a better army then U.S. U.K. and any ware else

  • love this vid are troops are the best long live canada Great north strong in free forever!

  • You suck dont ever make videos like this agin gosh!!!!!!!!!!

  • if i ever see an american ww1 movie i'll facepalm, because they're army was in the war for like... a month

  • 160,000 never went home? There were roughly 160,000 military casualties, doesn't at all mean that they died, though.

    But still, nice video.

  • Perhaps the Canadian victory at Ypres in 1915 was partly due to naivety - they were fighting their first battle and thus still believed in the glory of war and in fighting to the last man. The genius of Canadian soldiers was their ability to improvise on the spot combined with aggressiveness and the willingness to learn from past mistakes - which ultimately meant fewer casualties and greater gains.

  • It is honestly so incredible what these brave soldiers did for our country. Every single day of my life I will think about how lucky I am to be in this country.

Lest We Forget, God Bless Canada and our troops.

  • this is really bad that you put this kind of music for these soldiers

  • canada sucks -.-

  • @gitghetto your obviously an idiot

  • um 60 000 never came back btw not 160 000

  • first of all these americans need to start learning about actual history and through that they will see that the canadian corp was the only outfit in the whole god damn war that could get shit done,

secondly in both world wars we were there from start to finish,

and lastly we are a 10th of the size and we still made a equally as important contribution to the war effort.

  • woot it was all canada

  • Nobody would ever wanna rot in the trenches in WWI. Not after what these brave soldiers endured.

  • Why does everyone spread all this hate about America, this video is a memorial to our boys, not a hate video about America. So America isn't perfect we could not have a better neighbour and everyone knows that. However Canada did more than her share. Our population and military was one of the worlds smallest but yet one of the worlds bravest and strongest and still is. God bless all the countries that are fighting for freedom!

  • well said

  • its 60000 not 160000

  • CANADA FTW!!!!!!

  • Every Country had Quality that the others didn't

    ---------------

Canada-Tough and Strong and at Britain's Disposal

Great Britain-Coming up with plans to take down the German Empire (of course it didn't always work)

    Australia-Brave and Loyal to Britain

United States-Not Loyal to Britain but loyal to Masturbation and Good Target Practice for the Germans!

    SO FUCK YOU AMERICA!!!!!!

    GOD BLESS THE BRITISH EMPIRE!

  • lol

  • Canadians soldiers were the best soldiers and today they are too because you americans without planes and tanks u arnt good but we canadians doesnt need planes to pwn

  • America has just as much or more quality than Canada. The main thing is though that the flag in the beginning was not the Canadian flag in WWI as Canada was a British commonwealth at the time. I just don't want people to be confused over that. Unfortunately, WW1 was not "all Canada." They did amazing, but if it were not for America's industrial boost, and England/France's stalwart defense, the war would have been lost. In the end, Canada was not much batter than any of the other allies.

  • Much of what you say is true, however the Canadians and Australians are widely considered to be the finest soldiers of WW1. (That is no slight against the Americans... we were in it from '14, so had far more experience that US soldiers) By the last year of the war the British considered the Canadians as essential to any serious offensive action. Quite frankly I believe Vimy Ridge says it all. Neither the French nor British could take/hold it after 100's of thousands of casualties and 3 years.

  • the commonwealth was formed in 1950 roughly they were apart of the empire they are two very different things

  • canada=ftw yay canada :P

  • World War 1 was all Canada. I don't care what any damn american says, Canada has a great army. I'd take quality over quantity any day america!

  • HELL YEA!

  • @MartialArtsAssassin Its so funny how you Canadians, Australians and British view the worlds most powerful military to ever exist in man-kind's history as "un-trained" and only good because of numbers... lol

  • @MartialArtsAssassin I agree. America gets WAY too much credit for WWI and WWII when Canada was in it from the beggining both times around.

  • @MartialArtsAssassin: If it was "all Canada," why didn't the war end until America entered the battle?

It was all the Allied forces. How dare you disgrace any one of the troops out there fighting for a noble cause. It's a shame you've let your patriotism undermine the gallant efforts your ALLIES made to help end the gunfire.

  • @DigitalPhoenix I'm sure he meant no disrespect. What he's talking about is Canadas role in the war. Every major offensive was spearheaded by Canadians. "all Canada" actually means "mostly Canada". It's slang I guess you could say?

  • @DigitalPhoenix

You yourself are pretty much saying that the war was not won until America finally entered it. Germany launched her last offensive in March 1918. It was beaten back by British and French forces - not Americans. The four divisions of the Canadian Corps spearheaded the counterattack known as the 100 Days Offensive which knocked Germany out of the war.

  • @MartialArtsAssassin u know im an Australian born with european roots close behind me... ive been in the australian army since 85... all i ever heard about was how brave and how great the australian effort in the great war was... but you know what i realised that the canadians lost aproxiametly the same amount of men as we did.. both our countries gene pools were severely dented as only the finest fittest strongest were selected in the first couple of recruitment drives.

  • @luftiguz ran out of room lol... towards the end of the great way they were so desperate for men that they started to accept the ones they rejected in 1915 onwards.. flat feet etc..

also another useless bit of info.. i was talking to an old digger a few years ago.. he told me that a girl wouldnt date you if u were a conscientious objector.. women were big on that honour thing back then.

basically people rallied to fight for a cause.

  • @luftiguz i'd like to know if the australians knew that their losses dead and wounded would be 64% highest of all allied fighting forces would they have been that enthusiatic to join a fight that really had nothing to do with us.

we living can have an opinion but what of the sacrified lives where is their opinion..

    lest we forget....

  • @MartialArtsAssassin HELL YEA BRO

    LONG LIVE CANADA

  • fucken eh! our boys kicked ass! canada owned ww1.

  • Not even one was invited???? Thats really sad...honestly. Where the hell you got all the pics from??
