@tommydangerdoyle With the new edition of DnD that came out in 08, 4th edition. It was streamlined and is the easiest version to pick up and play. You can learn the raw basics in a very short while. Which is: Roll, count modifiers, see what happens.

Yeah, the whole "You're a bunch of loser nerds!" thing became uncool like 10 years ago so don't bother. The game has evolved into something rather akin to a tactical board game. If you've ever played a game like RISK...welcome dork. You're one roll away from playing D&D. Also, not all players are over weight or scrawny. I'm a 6', 185 lb, D&D player who boxes, mountain bikes and frequents the gym 4 times a week. A pussy is what i'd make you :)

I play D&D, I play lots of RPGs, P&P and video games... I also go to the gym and work out. Get a grip on reality people, do something physical for just 30 minutes a day, extend your life, make yourselves happier, and you can enjoy D&D for years to come. This isn't to the people directly in the video, but rather the majority of the player base. Look at Salvatore, the dude is buff and clearly works out. FFS, just walk between game sessions!
