This is scarfaces other channel. You could be right. however in a gunfight the zero could possibly win, remember its stall speed is far lower then the F-22s. It would be a long shot of course though.

@Gemini838 Actually they could because they are slower they have a tighter turn radius and they don't give off as much heat as jets do.

@lordserf And? Modern jets have radar! They can "see" over a hundred miles and certain missiles can shoot that far the ww2 aircraft don’t have ECM countermeasures chaff or flares. They would be blown out of the sky before they even saw the modern jets.

@Gemini838 Dogfights don't involve missiles and rader. What is fought now is just seeing who has the faster computer. If it really came down to a test of skill the WW2 era planes would have a higher chance of taking out a modern jet. They are smaller, slower and can turn tighter than any jet we use today. The only fighter today that would stand any chance in an ACTUAL dogfight would be the F-22 and thats only because of it thrust-vectoring. The new planes would fall at the slower speeds.

Also ANY modern jet could win in a vertical plane dogfight because of their higher Power to weight ratio.

@lordserf Sorry ran out of room! Will have better armament, have head up displays. The ww2 planes don’t stand a chance even if they did get behind a jet like an F-16 the F-16 pilot would just throw on the afterburners and go vertical. Oh and fun fact the F-16 can accelerate whilst climbing vertically which no ww2 plane can match!

@Gemini838 Okay, here you go. In dogfights its not a vertical fight. It's a turning fight. Planes, no matter how good, cant go straight vertical from a turn. Plus, in dogfights you dont wait untill your right on the six of the enemy, you fire as your turning, its called leading the target. Trust me I'm no pilot but I've talked to enough to know what I'm talking about.

@lordserf Trust me I AM a pilot! Ok helicopters not jets but I have a lot of friends who fly jets! One of my friends fly’s the Eurofighter and on one occasion has taken off, gone vertical and reached 30,000 ft whilst still directly over the runway! Also his jet can go from a 7G turn to vertical without stalling! (Lynx in case you’re wondering)

@Black8035 Yea you can't use it in combat you'll be flying with Hopes and Dreams with a Boeing 747

Theres a special mission in the game that you will use the 747 you'll gonna be flying the 747 in the cannons in 400ft without an escort

@Black8035 well there was a development of a 747 called the YB-1 or something like that where it had a tracking and secondary heated laser and it was designed to shoot down ballistic missiles. I know they did tests with it at Edwards AFB but i think it got scrubbed due to money
