the main riff your doing is wrong. your doing it on the frets 7 and 9

its meant to be on frets 5 and 7. and once it gets past the intro. it changes to frets 5 , 6 and 7.

try that. it sounds alot better.

One thing though, when you play the second half of the intro (when the full band comes in) I'm pretty sure you go down from D to C# to C in your root notes. Thats how I play it anyhow, I might be wrong.
