Thanks scott, informative as always. I can always look to you to keep me updated. I saw on one of your garthcasts you talked about the hungry years cd. I bought a copy on Canadas version of Ebay and I was extremely happy with it. The sound quality is poor because its recorded in what sounds like a bar in 1986, but its cool to hear him doing bar gigs and cover songs. He intros one of the songs as a "worthless original" and played much too young.haha not so worthless now is it? little did he know

hey there bdebret The Hungry years was recorded in a bar in 1986 actually :D. As the story goes, it was recorded so Garth could help finance his journey to Nashville. I agree, it's great to hear the covers and the influences that he had.
It's cool to hear 'which one of them' on that early of a recording- I also liked hearing him on some of the more 'folk' oriented songs.
