Concorde Started Fast Airline Services,Safe Flying, Comfort for the people who fly in them, now Concorde is gone.If it wasn't for the crash i think Concorde should still be flying today. It is sad that the fastest passenger jet is gone.
One of the coolest things I ever did. I only got two flight, if I had known how brilliant it was I would have made it a point to go at least every year. It was number 1 on my bucket list and when BA made the announcement I picked the phone up right away. I took my girl friend on her first trip to Europe on "speed bird." When we landed in London and walked around the nose we decided that we needed to fly back to NYC on Concorde. We cut our trip short, but with less than a month of service left ..
Can anyone share some insight on the first song (starts after 45 seconds). I wish I will one day see the concorde fly for real, unfortunately that is a dream that I worry will never come true...
What was it like to fly in compared to a normal jetliner? Louder? Was the cabin air drier? Was it a smoother ride? If Concorde didn't crash would they still be flying today?
@Steve181 Take off sitting at one of the back doors inches away from the after burner jets was very powerful and loud and thrilling. Inflight much the same as a normal aircraft except you could see the speed displayed in the cabin. Small cabin windows that were designed to look larger than they were on the outside. Great flight deck and fast landings. It always put a smile on my face when I got onboard.
I was one of those lucky few cabin crew members who worked on Concorde for 2 wonderful years 1998-2000 when I was just a young lad; probably one of the most junior on the fleet at the time. What an opportunity to be given and such an experience - I will keep so many fond memories for ever more.
I'm pleased that it flew over our house in West Molesey regularly. You know... it looks really great from underneath too. Amazing that it was possible to fly faster than a bullet and to do so in very high levels of safety.
I can't watch this wonderful tribute to the Beautiful Bird without becoming emotional. It makes me sad for our loss, and recalls a time when Britain could still create wonders like Concorde with impunity, and the world was still there to be travelled in style. When enjoyment was guilt-free! Shame about Lulu though.

Concorde is cool, but I think flying in a 747 airplane is better as it is safer and you worry less, I give concorde a 7 out of 10

Why would they retire the Concorde? What’s wrong with being able to travel long distances at twice the speed of sound?

@SPEEDBIRDBOAC I'm sorry the name doesn't ring a bell. But that's not surprising as my memory is rubbish! Thanks for contact.

Fantastic tribute to Concorde, with great sound track, well done. A must for any Concorde fan.
PS. Are you the same guy who wrote Kaz Keyboard - Learn to type in 90 Minutes. Another great achievement. Keep it up.
