  • sangat menarik '_'

  • Cantik, aq suka

  • hi .. i am thai and i like your dance lotttts.....we r related by south east asian more than 1000 years caulture...

  • marvelous...

  • i'm agree with roem2watch,but i think south sumatra dance more have similarity with thailand's dance than philippines..

  • im south sumatra descendant.

i dont even know there's this kind of dance. i only kno pagar pengatin dance bcoz i always see it on my relative's wedding. lol.

my grandma said south sumatra's culture has similarity wit philippine and thailand's. she said we have same ancestors.

  • Thailand was a part of Srivijaya Empire if I'm not mistaken...They both are alike...look at the golden sharp nails the dancers wear in this dance...Thai dances also have that too...The language also...the Old Malay Language is Komering which is spoken in some parts in South Sumatra..they are almost the same with Thai Language...Look at the movement at minute 2:24. Khmer dance(Apsara) has that movement too...

  • Apakah tarian itu kreasi baru?

  • the movements in 2:12 kind of resemble southern Philippine dance.

  • lol, and the one in 2:22 resemble Khmer dance, no?

  • yes...same with khmer dance...the sharp golden finger nails also. and almost all movements are very similar to Thai dances. But they move faster than in thai dances. If you trace back to the history of Srivijaya and it's culture, you'll find why they are both similar.

  • Keren men!!
