  • Bravo! Greetings to all our friends in Kawasaki from Rijeka! :)

  • Man I liked people from Japan.

But now I love them and admire them.

Not to mention how much honor and respect I have for them.

    very nicely done.

    loved the opera.

I know how hard it must have been for those people to actually learn to pronaunce our words...

    Very nicely done indeed! :)

  • @macaion897

    Hahahahaha.......hahahahaha....

  • Bravo! Greetings from Croatia.

  • Czech soldiers were rescued from Siberian Intervention in 1918. But their fleet was stranded around Japan. While the fleet was being fixed, they stayed in Kobe, where Japanese univ students heard Czech soldiers sing this song. Since then, it has been quite popular song for Japanese glee clubs.

  • @macaion897

Thanks for this notice and description, but please use few my corrections. This soldiers were Croats soldiers, not Czech! Croatia has the Sea - Adriatic sea, .. not Czech! Croats are sailors and mariners, not Czech! this fleet (K.und K.) came from Adriatic sea to Japan durng WW1. Only Croats know Croatian language, and words of this in Croatia popular song "U boj, u boj.." - from Croatian composer Ivan Zajc.

  • @macaion897

Serbian "intervention" (occupation) in 1918 was in Croatia, not in Czech !!! Please apply this truth in the future explanations of this event in the honor of many Croatian heroes, soldiers, mariners, home-defenders, ... till Zrinski, Zrin, Gvozd, Seged, ... till free Croatian state recognised just on this day 20 years ago, on 15. January 1992.

    ...regards Kruno, Zagreb, Croatia

  • vidi Honde ali piva! :) Japanci legende!

  • wtf? this is croatian song! song of my country! wtf are they doing???

  • @MissSuper3 Nemoj imati komplekse što si Hrvat.

  • @kukuleleful ha.ha. :P

  • Better: it's a croatian song about a hungarian national hero Zrínyi Miklós XD

  • @VigoDoria He is not a hunnarian he is a croatian.

  • Respect to all Japanease from Croatia!

  • You can find English translation here: en. wikipedia. org/wiki/U_boj,_u_boj

This is finale of Croatian opera "Nikola Šubić Zrinski" by composer Ivan Zajc. The opera is about historical event of Battle of Sziget where 2500 soldiers, mostly Croats, defended the fortress of Sziget from 100000 Turkish soldiers for 33 days. With fortress in flames and nearly destroyed, Zrinski and surviving soldiers rode out, charged the enemies and died as heroes.

    Like so everybody can see.

  • Sad zbogom bud',

  • 2:03-2:17 what's the guy behind doing? It must be from all the Croatian battle-hero excitement

  • dobri su, bolje zvuči neg neke naše izvedbe

  • @JazavacShumski

LMAO...It was a Croatian ship, the fact that Croatia was a part of Austro-Hungary doesn't change that fact, last time i checked only Croatia had a coast in that country,so yea,it was our ship idiot..... The only ones with no shame are Serbians, always trying to claim what's not theirs and generally full of shit, but then again probably every nation would be like that if they were fucked in the ass by Turks for 1000 years.....

  • vrag ih žute odnija, naježi se :))))

Dear Japanese friends I pray that safety, peace and stability return into your lives as soon as possible

    Best regards from Croatia

  • @multidisciple

as i heard in one documentary that this song is popular in japan due to the croatian sailors were fighting on russian side in some war and they were prisioners of war and i meanwhile they learned japanese this song

  • support from bosnia and herzegovina!!! it is awful what happened to you... may god help all of you and your great Nippon

  • arigato, japan.and great performance . love from Croatia

  • Svaka čast!

    Respect.

  • Svaka im čast! - Every honor!

  • It was brought to the Japanese shores by Croatian sailors.

It fits the Japanese spirit very well because the song speaks about swords, heroism and self-sacrifice for the homeland. Unfortunately the song is almost forgotten in modern post-communist, globalist Croatia we have today.

  • No wonder they like this song. Only Japanese fanatism outranks Croatian.

  • They repect the kamikaze aspect of zrinski's charge. 600 Croats against 80,000 turks and 24,000 turks dead.

    no surrender.

  • @allanmajestic

I read somewhere that only 3 guys survived.

  • @allanmajestic

Yes, however, your numbers are wrong (altough real number aren't even a bit less impressive).

Croatian side had 2300-3000 soldiers and only 7 survived.
