  • What we are all witnessing is just one more way to demoralize the American vision into aimlessness. A people without vision is a conquered people, to be lead about by someone else's ideal and run off what ever cliff that is put before you. Did you ever think you were becoming part of a nation of lemmings? Well, hold onto our hats, there are those that have been working on it for a long time. This is only one step in that direction.

  • @07:37 .. "Capable of sending Americans" NOT American's!! LEARN HOW TO SPELL! lol

  • This is great, I wish Nigeria can come to this level

    Elijah

  • I'm pissed. That we as Americans are letting NASA go. Let Japan or China or Korean take over and sub contract it out... America first.. 1,000 of jobs...100's of families...Dozens of small others...This makes me sick

  • The Shuttles did not said: made in China...

  • nice but....

  • I am glad, at least one fellow on earth has realized that they have wasted enough money on nothing. Now look at the cries of the ones who have been having fun all these days.

  • WiNNiNG~★

  • this is important project !!!!

  • $15,000,000,000,000 in debt and people are crying because we don't have a space program?

  • @Dangerdug indeed. when we can look after each other and the earth then is the time for 'luxuries'

  • I thought I would be watching a movie about the importance of the space

program and all I got was testimonials of people who might lose their jobs.

  • Wow the sound is amazing on this, very lifelike

  • I feel happy and grateful for being born during this period of human history. Alhamdulillah !(All Praise is for Allah Almighty (GOD).I wish mankind godspeed in the future with a balanced and constructive approach.Peace,Progress and Prosperity with Faith in GOD Almighty and a strong belief in the hereafter.

  • I'm glad in the time since this film was made we've seen improvements in the future of our national space program.

  • NASA is the core component while all of its affiliates are private corporations. Those corporations employed highly skilled and well paid people. If u r ranting away at NASA then u r also tossing away millions of jobs. For every dollar spent by NASA there are 10 more dollars created by the private sector.

  • I am not an American but I am saddened of the Decision of your President and his Administration. And when some other Country takes over the Lead I personally be gutted let alone what they may put in Space in the way of Weapons of Destruction ??? WHO KNOWS Some Evil S.O.B's in this World Think about it??!!??

  • I'm a fan of the Apollo program and the shuttle program. I'm unhappy that the shuttle was scrapped, but I'm not impressed with this film. This is a shameless appeal to emotion with LONG montages consisting of emotional music and images. Its like they tried too hard. Its also way to nationalistic for me too.

  • Nice fake title guys

  • NASA served its purpose: go to the moon. Technology isn't at the stage where we can go further, with any return. Could we fly to Mars? Sure. But our tech hasn't caught up with the ability to exploit it. Soon as more renewable energy techs mature, future on Mars will be brighter. And NASA can shine in the limelight again. Until then, they're relegated to mechanics in space suits.

  • Why Not Full

  • why should there be one leader jeez no wonder other countrys hate us...always trying to take over something

  • @000Fred1 Please, teach us how historically incorrect this movie is after 2.32 minutes...

  • NASA is just an example of the elements that make up such Empire about to die. I could be critical about NASA and its contractors and the budget over expenditures. Just like what has been going on in Afghanistan and Iraq for the past 10 years (Now Libya, and other 12 current wars). The space program brought forth new advance gagedtry, and medicine. NASA, as the film, points out, is a manager of the space program. The true work was done private companies and individuals. So, get to work!

  • MY DOG EVEN HAS A GPS COLLAR

  • It Froze............HA

  • awesome

  • Interesting, but could have been directed by Michael Moore... As subjective as can be! Think they missed the opposite arguments.

  • This is a desperate cry by the employees of NASA to save their jobs....lol... Welcome to the real world!... I guess NASA doesnt listen to the people as to what direction the people want NASA to move in.. That is why people are not interested in NASA anymore. NASA does its own thing with taxpayer funds...

  • MISLEADING MOVIE TITLE...

  • THATS HORRIBLE

  • huhu free movie but kinda boring

  • And just this week Nasa announced the Space Launch System as next system. Yer saved!

  • WHAT THE FUCK HAS THIS EVEN GOT jfk IN THE TITLE?? YANK BELL-ENDS!

  • @lovelifewhy duh I dunno maybe has something to do with the speech he gave about going to moon.

  • @H4I2I2EE Hardly a connection for the entire video, Jesus you could call it "Computer Film" by your daft logic #smh

  • @lovelifewhy It's saying that it's like a second assassination of JFK because of how the space program is going. I am not giving you my opinion about how well/poorly it connects, I am only cluing you in with my "daft logic" to what they mean(or probably mean). The entire video is about the space program. Is it not? I don't know what JFK has to do with computers so you got me there genius.

  • @lovelifewhy Not to mention the place where all the work is done is called KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

    OMFGWADS

  • @H4I2I2EE Look you can find all the labels & words you want it`s the overall meat in the sanwich that`s called baloni when it`s obviously Salad. Just give PROPPER descriptions :) #UKisGAY

  • I was hoping that there would be zombies.

  • I absolutely believe that mankind's future depends on exploring beyond our planet, & that the US has to be a leader in this, but it doesn't have to be THE leader. Americans should be rightly proud of what they've achieved but they should not be afraid of letting other nations doing the driving for a while.

The ISS gives us a chance to prove national governments & commercial interests can co-operate for the benefit of all mankind. From there we can leap forward, together.

  • What is wrong with these people? Yes, the space shuttle program ended, but the space shuttle was doomed from the beginning. JFK would have wanted us to end the space shuttle program. Why? Because the end of the space shuttle program marks the beginning of space exploration beyond our own planet and its closely surrounding regions.

  • they kill him and then then they want him back...

    lol

    gg illuminati

  • JFk had swag...

  • all i have to say is we spend so much on war and killing people based on lies we could have been on the moon and mars already but we keep on with killing not only people but peoples dreams

  • One of the interviewees was right: the Russians have already raised the price for launching our personnel and equipment to orbit. Another example of outsourcing it seems - we keep the administration bureaucracy (NASA) and let other countries do the design and building. Bad idea.

  • wtf $1.7 billion for 1 space shuttle?

  • u r allready lost! Its no chance to be nr1 anymore, russians was first,Russia won! xD LOL

  • @edvis2010 They lost the first races to Sputnik and to Jurij Gagarin, that's true. But they won the race to the Moon, and that was pretty awesome! : )

  • hey guys...i dont know if i've got too much space stuff but, at 16:11 something very fast was flying on the right side of the sky....am i crazy?

  • @seores1 its a bird...

  • @pljtgh no its a bullet gun

  • ★★★ DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE MOVIE FREE YOUTUBE DOWNLOADER: goo.gl / LIGqX ★★★

  • Is there actually any movie on youtube, that's worth watching for more than 1 min ?

  • @Nucleariasi

i dont think there is !

  • @Nucleariasi no, only the ones users like me and you upload in parts but even then there old.

  • i love JFK's voice :D

  • booooooring!!!!!

  • The documentary would have been much more credible without the rantings of the pastor aboard the U.S.S. Collection Plate. It's gonna be hard to put gas in that thing when the donations dwindle in the post space shuttle economy.

  • This was boring.

  • We're paying the Russians to transport our Americans to space.

    Russia won the space race.

    We have nothing but pipedreams.

Wait til China lands on the moon.

    Americans will gasp.

  • i think there is no changing the past, its up to the mums and dads to keep a old method of bringing up the children, its gonna be a difficult time with our generation not earning anything, its all feelings getting in the way of order and humanity, where is the spiritual and soulfull side to this, its all imaginary to us because of the alien involved in this creation of new humanity, we dont want a new life, just keep product in evolution, we are being controlled simultaniously by 2 world orders

  • good bye space shuttle....thank bush with fund u attack afgan,iraq..and u forgot about space program..shit

  • The greatest mistake the Americans did was to vote Obama

  • nice documentary, yet looks full of nostalgia for the long gone supremacy the US had. Not only is the supremacy that has gone, but the respect and admiration many non US citizens had, that America was a symbol of freedom, prosperity and wellbeing in general. Shame on the US.

  • this video was great

  • was good

  • Rubbish,,, missadolphhitler1988

  • Kennedy's death is the core of problem at NASA. If Kennedy never got shot the Apollo program would of happened anyway. In the rush to land before 1970, NASA spent like drunken sailors! NASA ordered 15 Saturn V's. Everyone felt the Apollo era systems were too expensive. Thus very expensive Shuttle was born in an attempt to lower cost. If there was no 1970 goal the Apollo would of moved along slower the 1st moon landing in 1974 but the core Apollo hardware wouldn't of been abandoned.

  • The shuttle was killed by Bush. Keeping the shuttle flying only does one thing it means we will never get out of Low Earth Orbit. Every NASA project is not an automatic ticket to cradle to the grave employment. New commercial companies are going to be able to do more with less then NASA has ever done for the same relative US Tax payer dollars. Just look at what SpaceX is doing. Congress has turned NASA into a jobs program. The SLS is also a jobs program.

  • We can't afford the space program? That's BS! There are so many stupid grants laying around that should be cut first. Or how about stop paying other countries to be our allies? Or instead of giving public assistance to all the illegals and and college tuition to their dream kids, send them all home!

  • @12vinyl HAHAHA por baby chuchcuhcu illegals o illegals firs NASA spend to mash money and accomplished so little and NASA is only a red neck town

  • Comment removed

  • @12vinyl They're making friends with money so they don't screw them over for their already massive debt.

  • I bet all these people who blame President Obama for canceling Constellation are also in the Tea Party and would complain about government spending. NASA is another bit of unnecessary spending we currently cannot afford.

  • While I too adore space flight--WE CAN'T AFFORD IT!

  • I am so thankful that these producers are concerned for our Space program

  • I am so thankful that these producers are concerned for our Space program

  • I like turtles

  • good film. put a lump in my patriotic throat.

  • why did i even watch this ?

  • @prodjtkiller cuz u were bored

  • For the TL;DR crowd: the value in sending a man to Mars is all the technologies we will have to invent in order pull that off successfully. Every dollar we have put into the space program has returned $7 in industry.

  • I am deeply disturbed and disheartened, not only by the ending of the space program, but to the American public's reaction to it. If it's not completely ignorant comments about, "They produce nothing of real practical value," (the technologies they invented have changed the entire world, the very computers you're reading this on were rapidly moved forward to be able to meet the demands of landing a man on the moon, for example), it's some conspiracy crap about JFK or the moon landing. For shame!

  • As awesome as the space program was, it was impractical. Besides producing and launching satellites, it has as much economic value as Las Vega's entire gambling scene. It ultimately produces nothing of practical real value. It is symbolic in that it got people together, but that doesn't mean much if they don't create anything that can be used in our lives, especially in our economic scene right now.

  • Barrack Obama should be run out of town.. Hes the worst president since Franklin Pierce.

  • @MissAdolphHitler1988 couldn't agree more.

  • @MissAdolphHitler1988 And you've lived to tell us that.

  • @MissAdolphHitler1988 says missadaolphHitler

  • @MissAdolphHitler1988 Yeah lets just totally ignore the shitty president b4 Obama

  • @MoonScar Obummer and Bushwacko are both assclowns, in fact. Wheres a JFK.. ???

  • Why is there a pastor on this DOC and why is he on a boat. Let me guess the church paid for that boat

  • 50 states, 50 gov. contractors, nasa will never die. the military and nasa is draining our budget, if you're in your 50's must be cool, sucks if you're not.

  • even more propaganda by mainstream as their getting seriously desperate now as their lies of the moon landings are finally surfacing and JFK im sure is turning in his grave as he was killed because he would not lie to the people on this subject also signing a bill for the banks not to print any more money. you have nixon & the cia & biased media to thank for this dumbed down diseased corrupt society we live in now and nobody wants to have their bubble burst by knowing the real truth like i do!.

  • Great film! I live on the Space Coast and my family works at KSC (for now). It saddens me that our current administration isn't doing more to keep us in space. It also saddens me that by reading some of the comments below, some others don't feel the need for continued space travel and advancement. I am very proud of my family members that have helped improve your life. I hope you can recognize the many blessings you have because of space travel. What others could you have if we continued?

  • Excellent video. Breaks my heart to see this country discard our leadership so lightly; JFK is turning in his grave. Perhaps the Shuttle Program has come to its appropriate end (I am not in a position to know), but we certainly have nothing on the drawing board to take its place - for that, we can thank the current White House. Can the money be spent elsewhere? Yes, of course that is always true. But where do growth and progress come if not from dreams?

  • people need to understand that the president doesnt make these decisions. their made by the wealthy corporate heads who own this country. They see its more economicly feasible to allow private companys to take over and find a cheaper way to make it in space. I know this sounds unreal but i believe we have the tech to go beyond our solar system and have gone with ancient alien technology. anti gravity, star gates , wormholes, quantum physics, come on people wake up!

  • Great Documentary!!!!

  • Very powerful... President Obama needs to watch this documentary. It is unbelievable how near-sighted we have become as a nation.

  • Obama's space vision = Underpants gnomes logic.

Step 1: Cancel shuttle AND Constellation.

    Step 2: ???

Step 3: Exploration beyond low Earth orbit.

  • NASA has it's place as a technology demonstration back in the 50s. But that time had passed. The amount of money involved can now be used elsewhere, pay down the national debt, allow more kids the chance to go to college.

NASA fans when busy with their Star wars acton figures will tell you what great leaps in technology have been made thaks to an unlimited budget. Yes I do think Tang is very nice drink and my 3 year old like her shoes with velcro.

    Stop crying about it.

  • @gizmomulanPiper Maybe you should think what you said over. There's no point in sending kids to college if there ain't shit for them to do with their degrees.

  • @gizmomulanPiper you sir are a idiot

  • Great to hear workers voices, but I wish it was about stuff they really knew, not space policy history. Still, I liked the film, and the super 8 footage was great. I do feel for the people that will lose their jobs, but the Shuttle was too expensive to continue. But, NASA should have had a replacement for it over a decade ago. I agree that the long pause between human spaceflight programs is both poor planning and not the wisest jettisoning of an experienced high-tech workforce

  • @ndpcineaste the budget for nasa is so small when u look at the scale of what were paying for as tax payers..... it may be it is alot but look at all the money our government waste why cut a program that has done more for human kind then any other.. so much has come from the nasa program

  • Kennedy also is on record for saying that he did not really feel that space was that important: it was a political tool only. If Kennedy lived, I'm not so sure Apollo would have, at least not in the form we know it.

  • Overall I found the film interesting, and it is sad that the Shuttle will be retired in a few weeks time. However, the interviewees are not historians, nor former policy makers, and their knowledge of Kennedy's space plans is demonstrably limited. One person suggested that if Kennedy lived, imagine where the space program would be? Well Kennedy, on more than a few occasions, wanted the moon program to become a joint American/Soviet program.

  • Its very sad that our govt is just giving up and walking away from our space program. However, maybe its time governments step aside and let private industry take over. We are Americans and as Americans we are explorers and we will not let space exploration die. Private industry will pick up the slack. Perhaps, a few of our countries billionaires will get together and fund an organization that will pick up where NASA left off. Its a fact that private industry will always out perform governt

  • Great film; great message; great music; great title...

JFK was assassinated; let us not kill his dream also. Save America's Space Program !

  • this film was a great wakeup call, for all to see and know past and present of how brevard county survived thank god for the courage of all nasa employees

  • the racist Zionists wants to discuss "the second assassination", not the first and only assassination that they planned and executed.

  • $900MILLION DOLLARS PER LAUNCH NO WONDER OUR COUNTRY IS IN DEPT

  • @octoron85 occupation of Iraq, $700Million dollars per day. ;)

  • @optic212 holy macaroni

  • Great concept, interesting. Don't let the dream die!

  • Great film! My grandfather worked for Lockheed out at KSC and he shared in the dream. It's sad to see his dream die just because the president has NO vision. We're losing so much because of one man's whim. Stop handing out money to your cronies and then maybe the US could afford the space program. You're killing Americans' livelihood and any chance for US advancement in the space industry. Congratulations for killing dreams!

  • sorry but this is boring as hell.

  • What a great movie, Don't let the dream die. Man needs to continue to explore space.

  • This is a sad day for America. We have lost our Vision and Passion. We must hold the high ground in Space Exploration. We owe it to all Americans to all future generations to Explore the Unknown and continue our quest of excellence. It is vital to our national security, world standing, and the future of our nation.

  • Awesome work, people!

  • @DisposableHeros423 Yeah you dont get it at all. Its the assassination of a dream and an ideal.

  • it means if they end the program then his creation being nasa will die too have fun being a idiot

  • I liked it, however, it had a misspelling of the last space shuttle. And I would not have called it the 2nd assassination. It is misleading. I would of called it something else.

  • Perhaps private enterprise will take over the space exploration and transportation initiative in the United States. If there are benefits to continued transit to LEO - other than a government employment program - then private enterprise will pick up the slack, if we are the nation of entrepreneurs and industrialists we claim to be.

  • Congrats! Everyone should watch this film...poignant, powerful, and extremely timely!

  • kitties go meow

  • Great Documentary! Visually, emotionally and intellectually. Full of surprises. Very proud of the work that went into making it.

  • progress
