@liquidmercenary Thanks man. I take the rough with the smooth. I could have spent $20m and still half the people would hate it. I like what I do but I don't know how long it will be before I do anything like this again, it was a heavy toll on my personal life and my pocket!

I'm sticking to simpler things at the moment.

In 1983 a Dutch horror movie was produced called The Lift about a lift that had a mind of its own. It's on wikipedia and imdb. Not saying you ripped anyone off but it's far more similar to your story then Devil, sorry.

@SSTTEEAALLTTHH The lift in my film doesn't have a mind of it's own, it's not even supernatural, it's controlled by the girl. Not even remotely like the dutch film which I never learned about until I had written the final draught of the screen play in 2007.

Now that I've seen "The Lift", I can tell you, Shyamalan DID NOT rip you off. It's nothing but a shadow when compared to "Devil". The similarities are only there because both movies are of similar subject matters. Sorry, buddy, but you can't drum-up any publicity for your film via that excuse. Try something else.

@IndyMoon777 It's done wonders for the film's profile, I didn't plan it like that but it's opened a lot of doors. No need to try something else, it's done more than I could've hoped for had I gone out and actively promoted the film.

Anyway, I'm not worried, I've got 2 more projects in the pipeline-the Lift is in the past.
