The guy "assaulting" in this video is sifu juan meza. I studied under him for a while. He is an awesome man and an awesome teacher with a great sense of humor. This video and the ones showing the lessons given to marine force recon are some of the best san soo videos on you tube. I say keep 'em comming

I've read conflicting information as to what "Fut Ga" means. I read on a site, that "Fut Ga" means mind over matter. Or something like that. It doesn't matter to me what Fut Ga means. I only incorporate what works for me and disregard the rest and add concepts from other arts. Not sure if I answered the question.

Fut ga lessons are not for attacking innocent people minding their own business. They serve a purpose in self defense.

They teach us to attack the attacker because sometimes offense is the best defense. Example, a woman is being assaulted by a couple of guys. Should I take one out with stealth or should I walk up and introduce myself as the guy who is going to cause severe trauma?

One more thing, stealthiness is not cowardly. Just ask the Navy Seals and Delta Force.

Finally, some truth in the real purpose of kung fu. This is what separates us from the animals, not muscles and fitness but an inteligently thought out plan to survive. this is assult. This is not a display of a guy trying to survive a life and death situation. I like to see what this guy would do if someone walked up to him and put him in a rear naked choke. I know ... he would go to sleep, because I'm sure he doesn't know how to defend against it. I've met many San Soo black belts that wouldn't have a chance in a real street fight. That's just sad.
