This guy is a dumbass. He focused all of his attention on the not so important center console. I doing so, he forgot to mention anything about the air suspension, excellent fuel economy, off road capability and the dozens of other unique conveniences that come with the car.
This guy shouldn't be doing reviews. He obviously doesn't like VW, and is only concentrating on the aspects of the car that does not appeal to him.
Yeah, this guy is a smart-ass, but it's only because he knows an over-priced and over-rated car when he sees one. I find his tell-it-like-it-is attitude refreshing. Sorry ppl, just because a car is an import doesn't automatically make it a great car....no....and many of the Volkswagons aren't known for their reliability.
cmoon it's way better than a v6 ... that thing puts out some serious torque... very very good engine...
running costs might be big tho and in early touareg 1's it was ripping apart the chassis a bit cuz it was just too powerful.. but they fixed that and the newer ones don't have that problem...
look up 5th gear where they were pulling a boeing 747 with it... of course it's all publicity but still that is a damn good engine i'd say :)
i know .. i'm not hating .. just these days i think americans should've caught up already... i know people are suing everyone for anything and that's why manufacturers are putting warnings on cars anywhere possible but i mean c'mon... when u buy a car u should know what fuel goes in it atleast...
