  • i start playing ff x back..

  • Ieyui nobomenu renmiri yojuyogo hasatekanae kutamae

Pray, saviour; dream, child of prayer; forever and ever, bring us peace

At my funeral, not only will there be a keg to celebrate my life and the joy that it was, but this song to celebrate what it means to live and the sorrow it can be. Let our saviours pray for our peace, and let us also pray for our saviours; for without one, the other is nothing.

  • its in times like this that i wish i was japonese...

  • this voices are really amazing. never heard such powerful and emotional music!

  • I think what makes it more emotional, is the memories it brings back from playing the game for so long and getting so invested in the storyline and characters, and how it had an effect on my life. (I don't think that sound silly at all, video games CAN be art, and beautiful, shame companies keep cranking out pieces of shit with only the graphics in mind, now days) I've only ever had that feeling twice before though, with Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 4.

  • im speechless

  • wow

  • The Women sound so good

  • Omg! that sounds exactly like it! LOL its so AWSOME! thanks for showing us the video

  • Thats so awsome! :)

  • geez.. a concert ? come to think of it, ive seen church chores based on lilium, from elfen leid... its a midsummers eve, demon vs human romance.. an anime, and they sing it as a catholic chore.. i suspect people sing this as well at church.. the 2000 old latin songs have gotten a bit dusty, dont ya tink ?

  • @teddythebenny

Based on Lilium... I'd appreciate it if you could give a link, I love that song :D

  • @WuFFYWuLF .. Japan isnt chinese.. or hindu.. though they have buddism, its quite different., whats more the Jap language doesnt even have a word for love, hence the reason they didnt use it in the final sequence of the Jap version of FFX. .. though they do have a word, its entirely chinese.. COPYRIGHT, 1000 years old. and yes chinese and hindus eat rice, though not sushi.. that, is entirely Japanese.. i tink.

  • @teddythebenny The Japanese do have a word for love. It's called "ai" 愛

I think when translated they thought "I love you" sounded better - or was more befitting, than "thank you"

  • @spavrillavigne yes, we do have a word, except, the sound, the character.. is entirely chinese.. that is a fact, of reality i suppose.

  • @teddythebenny and? the japanese language has been inspired quite a lot from the chinese, so why let it sound as if that matter of fact is a tragic one? it's just a word ^^ but saying the japanese language hasn't got a word for "love", just because that word's originally from another country, doesn't mean it's not japanese ;]

i know you didn't mean it that way, but reading your comment makes one think so.

the word "love" means "ai" in japanese - that's all there is to it.

  • where can I download this

  • I lol at the people commenting and saying this is completely in Japanese. Yes, there is a translation, but only if you scramble up all the syllables. "Ieyui Nobomenu Renmiri Yojuyogo Hasatekanae Kutamae" does NOT translate to "Prayer Forever and ever Bring us peace," or to anything at all!

    Thanks for the upload!

  • the lyrics is quite tricky.... if you read this "Ieyui Nobomenu Renmiri Yojuyogo Hasatekanae Kutamae" it's absolutely have no meaning....

so, sang the lyric vertically but read the read meaning horizontally

    i no re yo

    e bo n ju

    yu me mi yo

    i no ri go

inore yo, ebon-ju (Pray Yevon-ju) The last boss XD

yume mi yo, inorigo (Dream, Child of Prayer)

i think you can figure out the rest ^.^

  • Comment removed

  • That's quite chilling, to be honest.

    Very well done, though.

  • Id go to church if this is what it was like.. Im officially coverted to Yevon (-ism?) .. Can I still have Christmas hollidays and use machina though please?

  • @TIMAXIMUS87 Yes you can, but you have to call it Yev-mas and with Machina I think that's accepted now with the new teachings!

  • Swear this song always brings tears to my eyes when the women join in to make it one voice.

    Gods this song is beautiful.

  • Whenever i hear this song, i get tingly feelings all over because its so exasperating...

  • @sjacob832000 Uh, dude/lady, "exasperating" means to make very angry, annoy greatly or to make worse. Definitely used the wrong word there...

  • this song is the song i cannot forget

  • stressed at work? change it, life is too short to be stressed over such meaningless things

  • Ieyui

    Nobomenu

    Renmiri

    Yojuyogo

    Hasatekanae

    Kutamae

  • @Mutsusho

    any translation, meaning?

  • @kazuyaum yes, there is:

    Pray, saviour

    Dream, Child of Prayer

    Forever and ever

    Bring us peace

  • @Mutsusho

    thank you bro!

  • @kazuyaum You're welcame!

  • goosebumps

  • it is japanese...here are the lyrics:

Ieyui, Nobomenu, Renmiri, Yojuyogo, Hasatekanae, Kutamae

  • Comment removed

  • @shioriryukaze Its actually rearranged japanese. Go to the final Fantasy wiki and it explains it. I would put it here, but youtube messes up comments and I can't so =p

Point is, The Hymn is actually a combination of Japanese Syllables rearranged.

  • I love the OST of FFVII!!!! So mutch!

  • @Mutsusho This is from FF X

  • @yougosquishnow Yes, I think so XD....I thought I heard in FVII....Sorry

  • こええよw

  • I didn't know there was a debate over the language of this song. It's obviously Japanese.

  • To settle the debate yes this is written in Japanese, it's just jumbled this link will explain how to decode it. fflyrics.com/inorinouta.html

  • Just to note guys...... the lyrics have to be decoded. lol

    But in simplified, decoded English:

    Pray, Yevon-ju

    Dream, Child of Prayer

    For ever and ever

    Bring us glory

  • These people have some of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. x.x;

  • i think its not japanese eather, because i looked up the lyrics of this and there is a japanese translation. i asked a friend of mine and she says its definetly not japanese... she said she thinks its korean, but shes not sure, just like me xD

  • @ZicksOcarina Its fucking japanese, the creators of the song wrote it in japanese. >_>

It is complete gibberish, however, and doesn't make sense until decoded into English.

  • @XxSPM3xX but as i said xD were not sure

  • This is win.

  • if i'm not mistaken, it is Japanese, but, and heres the BUT! you have to write out each part of the hymn and read it in traditional Japanese, the words make the Japanese version of the spoken prayer, I E YU I NO BO ME NO RE N MI RI YO JYU YO GO HA SA TE KA NA E KU TA MA E noreyo, Hatenaku Ebonju. Sekae tamae, Yume miyo, Inorigo ...which translates to: Pray now, for Yu Yevon, who will not go away. For the sake of prosperity, Dream now, the Fayths of Yevon I googled it from the FF shrine
  • just makes you feel like, sitting, back closing your eyes, waking up in spira and kicking some sin ass!

  • That thing coming up at 0:11 scared me....

  • The only good dream I have is to wake up in Spira. (Not Joking)

  • Incredible!!!

  • Final Fantasy, the 2nd world i live in ..

  • almost makes me cry

  • This will be played at my funeral...lol

  • makes me want to cry

  • Je trouve cette musique émouvante =O

    Arigatou gozaimasu =)

  • the only reason i have my ps2 still is ffx *sigh* this is my meditation song i have it on my phone plus its my ringtone =3

  • ....... i must cry ^^ no joke but the best game in the world now and forever....fuck ff xiii

  • This is one of the best pieces that was written for the game series. No instruments, only a perfection of harmonious voices.

  • Cool the hymn of the Fayth. You could mediate to the different versions of this tune.

  • i got rid of my ps2 ages ago but this is still one of the best songs from a game i've heard. this and otherworld from ffx as well

  • I luv everything about final fantasy I love you asian people with my heart giving me my fantasy back.

starseed, galactic human, angel and hybrid I am ty for this experience and rememberance back to who I am.

  • this sends chills down my spine everytime I hear this

  • Comment removed

  • the guys in the beginning is the ronso tribe version :p (i think)

  • @JollyElfDance

On the official soundtrack of FFX, that's the title of the track. All the others that you hear when you are at a temple of a certain Fayth, like Anima, Shiva, and so are those tracks are called Hymn of the Fayth-Shiva or what Aeon you are trying to get in the game.

  • magnifique

  • Just wonderful!

  • Technically, wouldn't this be called 'Hymn of the Fayth'?

Other wise, this is wonderful :)

  • THISIS SO COOL!

    5/5

  • Wtf r u talkin' bout latin!!!! ignorance is your best friend!!!

  • Ooh...just the way some of the chords clash...so awesome.

  • This are the lyrics: Ieyui Nobomenu Renmiri Yojuyogo Hasatekanae Kutamae English Pray, saviour Dream, Child of Prayer Forever and ever Bring us peace
  • Inore yo, Ebon-ju Pray to Yu Yevon

Yume mi yo, inoriko Dream, Fayth

    Hatenaku Forever and ever

    Sakaetamae Grant us prosperity

You have to decipher it, because as it stands in the song, you're trying to translate words that are not Japanese. The song is a puzzle.

  • Yeah you're right sorry^^

  • é lindo :')

  • Latin? rofl it's not latin, it's japanese... 100% Japanese. It's so japanese it eats sushi in the morning and rice the rest of the day.

  • Technically it's just a bunch of nonsense, until you arrange the words a certain way that allows it to be read as japanese. XP

Just had to throw that out there.

  • @Andiror hauahauahauahauahua I love your comment at the end xDD Still laughing xD

  • @Andiror

    Are you sure?

    I know it's not latin...

But I know many songs like this are done in Esperanto.

  • @Andiror Thats like the best fucking response I ever read lol

  • @Andiror

umm, know your facts before you 'rofl'

this is 100% latin, i would know, i'm FULL JAPANESE. and im very very fluent in japanese. I GO TO JAPANESE-FREAKIN SCHOOL.

  • @deceasedlaugh

No, this is not Latin... This is definitely Japanese...

  • It's not Japanese either but it would be much much cooler if it was in Latin. It would really give the whole "sacred temple of spirits" sort of feeling.

  • @Andiror Yeah good call. If you listin it's obviously not a latin hymn.

  • @Andiror How could someone mistake this for latin? I as a latin speaker am confused.

  • @TheFourthDefender Might have to do with the misconception that all gregorian chanting and/or music like this is always sung in Latin. In high school, I knew people who thought Kyrie Eleison was Latin.

But it is hard to mistake for Latin. Haha.

  • (JAPANESE) Ieyui Nobomenu Renmiri Yojuyogo Hasatekanae Kutamae (ENGLISH) Pray, savior Dream, Child of Prayer Forever and ever Bring us peace
  • Nobomeno....

  • @000sanin000 5 months later some one point this out. You are wrong.

  • Wow, you would go all the way to post a reply to something that was like forever ago. lol Do you sit there and read everyone's comments so you can have something to do? btw I was giving the japanese translation for it. leyui is wrong as well cause there is no l's in japanese but r's.

  • Yeah, I read the comments when I listen to the music. Isn't that what most people do?

  • omg.. it is something I said so frigin long ago... seriously.. what is the point in reading something so long ago. People change! You are only saying something to some one who thought that way so many months ago!

  • you got a point, dude, just enjoy the music JohnKJC, it's not like hades will break loose if a few things are spelled wrong.

  • Well, actually it's not japanese. It's nonsense. BUT, as JusticeDragon said, if you arrange the words using a specific system, it's then in Japanese and can be translated into english.

  • i think it is japanese, hmm?

  • Wow nicely done!

I still like The Promised Land best though

  • they are too good

  • Goosebumps every time...

    Absolutely beautiful.

  • Is the text of the song in Japanese

  • Yes, I think it is.

  • rotfl is JAPANESE not LATIN wtf

  • ...no, its not.

  • how did you get these videos??

  • AGREED!!!

  • I would be there in a heartbeat!

  • I get this song stuck in my head all the time, and i'll sing it at school. People think I'm weird.

  • Me too. And i thought i was the only one.

  • haha! Now I don't feel so alone in the world!

    Ieyuiiiiii

  • I sing this too every so often

  • Before I knew the real words I would make up my own, about whatever was on my mind at the moment. I remember singing about my Algebra teacher a few times haha

  • I hum it at work all the time. It helps me to relax when I'm stressed, and to pass the time when things are really slow. My co-workers used to give me odd looks. I told them it was "The Hymn of the Fayth" or "Song of Prayer", so now they think I'm a religious zealot. I wonder what they'd think if I told them it's actually from a video game? LOL!

A few years ago, I taught myself how to play this on the penny whistle, just to get it out of my head. LOL!

  • jajaj I do that too! I sing it when things are going awful and it makes me feel relaxed

  • @xSilverUnicorn ur rite this is a good song to drown out EVIL HATER ASS MUTHA FUCKAZ

  • @xSilverUnicorn

Same here. I'm stressed all the time yet singing this tune really seems to help me calm down.

  • @xSilverUnicorn Dude i hummed this in math class last year.... my teacher recognized it...

and she's not a gamer, she's a baker (in the summer)

  • So wonderful song

  • So amazing, that it gives me chills.

  • masterpiece.... thus calling it the hymn of faith...

  • i have its mp3, its so bloody the same ! best choir ever !

  • dammit i ned to cry when i hear such things <_<''

  • Awesome..

  • It just sounds too perfect O_O

  • Its called the Hymn of Fayth

  • This is so exact it's almost scary...

  • i know the meaning IN JAPANESE Ieyui Nobomenu Renmiri Yojuyogo Hasatekanae Kutamae IN ENGLISH Pray, saviour Dream, Child of Prayer Forever and ever Bring us peace
  • Damn this is so touching, I've completed this game so many times and still i anna play again. i wish to live in a place like that.

  • Spira is kinda cool, but there are places on our mother earth that have places so beautiful and spectacular as the sights of Spira.

  • could you name some places that are just as beautiful and spectacular as spira in this real world?

the most beautiful scene ive ever seen is makalania woods with tidus and yuna kissing. that place is breathtaking.

  • WOW. THe music is just so balenced, the singers so accomplished - the meaning of the lyrics so amazeing.

  • lol i wish i could get the meaning of the lyrics, if you could tell me where to find it.

  • just wander around the save sphere b4 him and have yuna summon every aeon in turn, just let them get hit untill they have full over drive gauges then save and let him have it. you only get 1 turn with an aeon so just use each ones overdrive and you will beat him no prob!

  • same here im looking for that bloody merchant to get lots of zombie cures and make a zombie proof armour lol

  • the song should be a REAL prayer
