  • I wonder what bar in Houston. Griff's maybe.

  • I feel like "The Virginian " was an older brother. He was part of my whole teenage years and the show was cancelled just as I reached my 20's. Priceless memories. High quality tv at it's best.

  • james drury was the best looking man that i've ever seen! Absolutely sexy!

  • THIS IS A REAL MAN<JAMES DRURY.

  • I grew up on The Virginian on RTE in the early 60's, all the way thru The Men from Shiloh. Loved it then, love it now, and re-watching on Westerns Channel now!!

  • My english is very bad.

When i am 13 years ago, i look at my TV , image is black and white but when there is "the virginian", I am so glad to see this western..My regret is , in France, we cann't to watch it.

  • I am 44, love westerns. do not remember watching this but, I love to read the comments for those that did and to hear their recolections.

  • Just finished watching the Virginian. Two times in a role. Reminding me of the good TV programs I watched as a kid. I am 53. It is a shame TV isn't this nice anymore.

  • Nice to see Jim Drury still kicking...check out mel gibsons remake of "maverick"...towards the end you'll see james drury, doug mclure, paul briniger,

(mr wishbone), and many other 50's and 60's western actors that are now gone...

It's ironic that this show was taped in ireland because john ireland took over the roll of lee j cobb as the virginians boss at the shiloh...ha

  • @oldyuma Although Jim Drury is listed in some Maverick casts, I'm pretty sure he wasn't in it. I think some people mistook Robert Fuller for him. John Ireland wasn't in The Virginian as a regular, but was a guest star in the final season under the name The Men From Shiloh, the third episode called "Jenny". I think he did replace Lorne Green in a Bonanza movie. My friend Helen set up this interview with TV3 and is mentioned at the end of another video of this and seen in others of the visit here.

  • I remember The Virginian well from my childhood. I watch it every day now, one of the few good things about losing my job!

  • @DannyMc71 sorry about the job loss. Great old shows of real America. How did we stray so far to loss sight of our values.

  • A lovely unaffected man. Pity the interviewer kept butting in!

  • That was great and it was nice to hear Doug Mcclure was his best friend.

  • What a great interview. So good to see him again. He was so handsome when he was young; he still looks great. Wonderful.

  • This is great I used to watched this show faithfully wow thanks for the memories.
