Could you please make a Walktrough of Ecstatica II aswell? I recently bought it at to play it again, but I can only get it too work withouth the music, which destroys the atmosphere... :(

Ich kenne dieses Problem auch. Ich kriege Ecstatica II ebenfalls nicht richtig zum laufen. Mit DosBox habe ich zwar Sounds und Musik aber nur Lowres Grafik.

Mit Virtual PC habe ich zwar HighRes Grafik und Musik, allerdings ist diese grässlich verzerrt.

Wenn ich eine Möglichkeit finde, Ecstatica II korrekt zum laufen zu bringen, werde ich bestimmt ein Walkthrough machen.

I just tested it with DOSBOX version 0.73 .

It worked with Music, Sounds and High Resolution...

So ready for the walkthrough :))

Worked also perfectly...i guess thats because i bought a new pc.

Finally ! A PC that can handle the high res graphics of ecstatica 2 =D

@KaySaschnitt yeh that would be great.... please do it!!! For you problem... try to use doxbox. From there: - mount a directory as "C" - mount a CD unit as "D" (example: mount d d:\ -t cdrom -label ECSTATICA ) - install the game from DOSBOX from your mounted CD unit to a directory in C Most games with CD work like that... Do you use the original CD or an ISO image.? Some games in the 90s had extra tracks, which are not supported by the ISO format! Hope it helps Fabio

Thank you very much !!! Today, it´s amazing to have a look at this game. You simply know that this is a special game. It had really fine animations, many things to discover, some kind of an open world which awaits the player, different endings, dynamic health and and and... and all that back in 94.

It´s still very enjoyable and provides a great atmosphere :)

@Nocito87 I think this game set the pace for some of our modern games today. For instance, i found quite a few similarities between this and resident evil; the angles, the ape/wearwolf guy that follows u around but that u cant kill.

And yeah, all this back in 94 is impressive.

Its also very psychadelic in my opinion. no wonder me and my friends found it scary and intriguing back in the days :)

I searched through about 700 old pc games to find this game, took me that while cause i remembered squat about the game, played it when i was 5 or something.

as iateutube said it, MAD FUCKING RESPECT.

Background music and voiceovers rock in this game. I especially loved werewolf's quotes in game over scenes (not recorded in this walkthrough). They sounded even cooler because he didn't speak at all while you were alive :-)

Wow, thanks for uploading this, this game was very special to me, since was the first game I've ever played on PC, plus the first survival horror (well, for me it is, some could consider it just "adventure")

This game along with Alone in the Dark brings back many good memories of my childhood :D

I had nightmares with the wolf hahah but I still played it until I beat it at age 9 or 10

Thank you. I know what you mean. There´s a really special atmosphere in this game. The music, the dark sky, the mutilated villagers and always hunted by the werewolf . I think the game is a bit disturbing. All these colorful ellipsoid characters in this ellipsoid world and on the other side, they are so brutal and bloodthirsty. A really creepy contrast.
