  • Don't get me wrong your playing is nice... but why do all Leslie demo videos sound the same? Everybody plays the same riffs all the time.... Its annoying...... (Just venting... Don't take it personal.)

  • @Tavares72 I'm with you on this. I suggest listening to all kinds of organ music. Give it a chance for a couple of weeks. You'll discover that theater organ music as played on Wurlitzer,Allen, Rodgers,Gulbransen, Conn, and Thomas all sound great through Leslie speakers. I'm an old movie buff so somewhere along the line I opted for the theater organ tones over the Hammond. Check out 'Wurlitzer 4520 organ' on youtube. Dick Smith plays through 2 147's and an array of Conn Pipes ( pipes w/ 4-6x9's).

  • could you tell me your registrations and vibrato settings at the beginning, and also when you change at about the 1:00 mark ? nice job on the playing, and nice road box for the 147.

  • @thatsmorse I'm not sure! I assume the beginning was just classic Jimmy Smith settings (88800000) with C1. At 1:00, it could be 88800008 with no percussion. Thanks for the comments! I do miss this leslie. It really screamed!

  • @webernation i appreciate it. very nice chops. when stage space and my old back allow, gig with a '75 Leslie 860 and a Speakeasy tube preamp. it's quite loud at 120w, and is "only" 90 lbs. still learning classic Hammond registrations on an XK3...for the most part use a Nord Electro 2 (again with the space and the back).

have an old 145 that lives at home.....thanks again..keep up the great playing.

  • Sounds so Good!!!

  • omg that thing has no brake :D

  • My God...

why you've sold a similar beast?

money or you don't like this?

    ... please anwser me!! :)

  • I bought this to tour with a great band. But alas, the tour never happened and it was sitting in my living room. I thought somebody else could put it to good use, so I sold it. A beast like that should sit in a living room. I still have the A100 and a 145.

  • Very Good...

  • c 3?

  • No, A 100

  • sweet optical illusion.

  • At first it was difficult to see the opposite rotations. But the close up view reveals that the rotors are indeed turning as they should. Thanks much.

  • The top and bottom rotors should be turning in opposite directions. That is an important aspect of the Leslie doppler effect.

  • Of all the leslies I have heard and seen, this is one of the best mechanically and audiably.
