Hello, are your dogs good with other animals and people? I am very interested in owning an akita but i've read many things. I am just interested in an owners opinion on their own personal dogs. Thanks!
@Shelbss103 my akitas love other dogs they love to play but dont take well to dogs showing threat as they will stand there ground to litterly anything and if you aint a good dog owner dont get one they will try to walk all over you.
i had a huge akita , really a big bone dog about 140 pounds , his name ghangis khan he was the smartest dog i ever had and what a home protector , and my best buddy he past at the old age of 14 i miss him so much .
is that all white one a pure-bred? i had a brown one that looked exactly like ur white one and her papers said she was mixed, but it didn't say with what.
WOW i have an akita bear and your bear is scary cute ahahahhaha they are our babies huh. my nikita bear play wrestled with a friend ... maybe i need to get her a playmate
I love how vocal Akitas are. People always think my dog is growling when he's playing. I can see the confusion. Most dogs aren't as vocal as the Akita. (vocal with grumblings I mean, he only barks when someone comes up on the porch)
hey plz could anyone tell me if theres a site just for akitas or if anyone has 2 male akitas how they get on ? i ruscued pup but dont want to get too attached if there gonna be fighting cause of the dominating factor in the breed thanks
well, if he/she is a pup, and if you raise him to learn that YOU are the alfamale, then you should have no problem. if u dont get it through the dogs head that u are the leader, then he will be aggro

LOL, it looks my two when they decide to play. I've got a Saint Bernard/ akita mix and a lab mix. SO CUTE!!
