You don't have to use distilled for humidifiers - the moisture coming off even dirty water *IS* distilled! All distilled water is, is evaporated water. The heavy elements in water don't evaporate, so it makes no difference if you use tap water, drinking water, or distilled water. The only advantage of distilled water is in the sponge humidifiers so they don't clog up. But for simple evaporation, any water is as good as distilled water. Nice vid though.
I've heard David is a super nice guy........ but there is distilled water in Mexico...... it's probably just cheaper for him, in the longrun, to buy an RO system and hook up bottles like he has...... As for the Edmundo Dantes... regional cigars ARE premium brands; the "Edmundo Dantes" is unique and came about because of trademark rights issues when Max Gutmann had the 109 commissioned for Mexico............ doesn't seem very knowledgeable for an LCDH owner...... or he doesn't like cameras?
@AZCigarNut Not sure about trademark right issues but David is correct. You can't make a regional of a global brand (cohiba, monte, partagas etc). Some would say regionals are premium. I don't. To me they are specially commissioned cigars by each regional distributor. Except for the extra band, there is nothing special about them. No extra aging. No special humidor.
I was there today!!! I'm in Cancun right now! I leave tomorrow though. If you want a great resort, stay at Palace Resorts; particularly Moon Palace. What is really funny is that I saw this video about a month before I came to Cancun. The cigars are much more better priced than at the hotels though. Awesome place. I wish I could live there!
