I saw him last year in Scotland. Even my then 12 year old was rocking the night away. She says it's the best show she's ever been to. 12!!!!!!!! The Beatles STILL appeal to all ages. Lets see if anyone else will ever manage that.
can't believe this guy still plays these old songs and he makes them sound so good at his age! not a dam mistake. you should see Dylan playing nowadays...
IF THE BEATLES WERE TOGETHER.at 2011. IM SURE ITS GONNA BE A HUGE BIG CONCERT. AND ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD WILL GONNA SEE IT LIVE VIA TELEVISIONS.
people say Lennon was the genius of the Beatles, but McCartney wrote Golden Slumbers, Yesterday, and so many other of my favorite Beatles songs. George Harrison also wrote some of my favorites... Lennon was genius, but they were all just amazing... Ringo too!!
im going to one of his concerts....even if i have to crawl just to get there...and im going to be at the very first row screaming his name....and then my moms going to tell me to calm down...
I think it's so fitting that he ended the concert with 'The End.' I've always considered it to be sort of The Beatles' final message to the world (as Abbey Road was recorded last, it's their true final album). Just gotta make some love, man.
Im 18 years old, and i acctually get a little sad when i watch videos like this. I see all these grown up's who is thinking back at their youth with a smile on their face and remembering all the great times with the best music ever made. What are I going to think back to when im 60? It feels like the 60's where the best time to live in, so i really hope the timemachine is soon ready for the world!
@duddu1111 you should be glad you get to see this and everything that came after them, and many more, When you are 60 you can still hear The Beatles, even in outer space Across the Universe
sounds pretty damn good for 69.. dang. i wish they were all still alive.. i wish there could be one more beatles show.. just one.. i know they probably needed to go their seperate ways by the end of the 60s but damn.. they were something great. and im only 24..
I don't think anyone realizes, or thinks about it. But when Paul dies, those men playing with him will soon become legends. You can't just play with him that long and not go on to make your one, huge, career.
i went to both shows at Yankee stadium and then saw his last stop in cincinnati. every show was something beyond excellence. so crazy good. i can't stop thinking what the hell it would be like if the three other lads were on with him. What a band!
This concert was a gift from my daugher. She will NEVER know how much it meant to me. And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make...
Truly one of the best concerts ever. I went for my birthday and I couldn't have gotten a better birthday. The way there, I saw so many other people going, and they were in a bunch of different generations of age groups. I saw people in their twenties, early teens... hell, I even saw a six year old there having the time of her life. So many songs, I thought it wasn't gonna end. And I never wanted it to.God bless Paul McCartney.
Once I had a conversation with a priest regarding Lennon's "Jesus" remark. The priest, who was young, said when the Beatles first appeared on the scene he believed they were prophets SENT from Jesus. I have remained friends with this priest over the years and he still believes this. He says "That Boy" is about the struggle between God and Satan. Just another example of how this band has affected all of us in one way or another.
i was so sad when i couldent come my parents said it was to far to new york and i live in this itty bitty town in NJ and now he's even farther away i really wished i could go....:(
With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!
Was there that night. Paul is an amazing performer. Saw him back in '93 at Giants Stadium. He outdid himself at Yankees stadium. Never have a seen such an engaging performer. You get the impression he is sitting in your living room telling you stories. The music, crowd, yankees stadium, awesome weather... what else could you ask for. A truly special memory from the legendary Beatle.
I was so excited to get a ticket to watch Paul McCarney's concert in Yankee Statium for his last US tour performance, this is such a great experience to be surrounded by a large crowd and we sang together. Paul is a legend, my all-time favoriate going back from the Beatles and the Wings then to be the soloist. He has unique songs that nobody else can copy him. Wish I can get to know him in person. You fan always.
I can't believe this... 2 and 1/2 hours into the show, at 69 years of age, here he is, still singing... His voice is still a pleasure to listen to. A phenomenon.!
I sat near where this video was taken and can even hear myself screamming! It was amazing to see 60,000 people all in such a blissful state! Where else but in the presence of SIR PAUL AMAZING MCCARTNEY! His voice was right on and his energy endless. I LOVE YOU PAUL, AND THANK YOU FOR THE BEST TIMES OF MY LIFE! Joan S.
ALL MY LIFE I THOUGHT HOW LUCKY PAUL McCARTNEY WAS TO HAVE BEEN BORN WITH ALL THAT TALENT. LAST NIGHT AT THE CONCERT, SEEING PEOPLE IN THEIR 60'S, 50'S, 40, et. al., WITH THEIR FACES GLOWING WITH THE YOUTH OF A TEENAGER I REALIZED JUST HOW LUCKY WE WERE TO HAVE HAD SUCH A TALENT AMOUNG US.
Best Concert Ever..stunned silent at first glimpse, u cry, laugh, forget your place in time and space. Bass/lead/rhythm/acoustic guitars, ukelele, mandolin, upright and grand pianos...the unrivaled voice, his talent incomprehensible. 35 songs, almost 3hrs, no breaks..3 encores.. Billy Joel bowed to him. If your "thinking" about seeing him, hitchhike, sell your refrigerator for money, ride in the landing gear compartment of the plane, crawl, build a transoceanic raft out of logs, just...GO.
He does in the concert, I just dont know exactly when - he introduces every band member. 2002, he always introduced Rusty before Maybe I'm amazed, Wix before Can't buy me Love...
Paul probably did special songs here because it was a special gig in a way as the Beatles played Shea Stadium the former home of the New York Yankees which was a groundbreaking concert. at the time-the 1st stadium concert ever.
plus Paul had Billy Joel there as a guest and may have taken a request/suggestion or two from Billy Joel as a return favor in a way.
anyway, its nice that Paul mixes the setlist up and spices it up once in a while as a surprise no matter what the reason is,
@4FabBEATLES SHea was the former home of the NY Mets, the Yankees shared Shea in the 1970's one yr when the New Yankee Stadium was being built. 2 years ago at a Billy Joel concert The last at Shea Stadium, Paul took a flight from ENgland and showed just to be in the last concert as he was in the 1st concert at Shea.
you have to go cuz you might never have another chance at seeing one of the greatest legends, if not the best, of rock music perform live. he is just awesome! seeing him perform live is one of the memories i will cherish forever! thank you paul!!!
I brought my 12 year old daughter to see him on 7/15 - her first concert. We both had a blast and returned on 7/16. 2 1/2 hours went by in a flash! I'll never forget the experience.
Was there last night 7/16 , just amazing, Billy Joel made a appearance for i saw her standing there, see the video for Live and Let die, ground went wild
Boy, Paul is carrying the weight of the Beatles legacy....but in a wonderful way!! How delightful!!! So much nicer than watching a Harry Potter movie and more realistic than a fantasy world!! ....and wow.....what a drummer!!! (Wish it were Ringo though.)
Hopefully I'll get to see him in Cincinnati! Probably not though seeing as my mom finds it "stupid to waste money to see an old guy in concert." She just doesn't get it. :(
@kmalobe1 She has a point. Some musicians do age and don't sound as good. That's not the way it is with Paul. Hearing this video, Paul sounds just as great as his Beatles days, probably even better!
This is my dads all time favorite Beatle song. We were at the concert last night, and when Paul McCartney sang this, he literally burst into tears. The moment was beautiful and absolutely indescribable. The perfect way to end the perfect concert. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Perfect ending to a perfect concert. Life is good when you can see a living legend perform these songs of perfection live! :) Wish I was there for tonight's concert, too!
Ohhhhhh! I thank you, too! I live in Italy, so I couldn't be there yesterday...but I was with all you with all my heart!! I hope he'll perfom something in Europe as soon as possible! He is a more than a legend....Paul for the life!
It was my daughters's first concert, my 2nd time seeing Sir Paul. A night I'll never forget! Paul is undoubtedly the greatest living songwriter/musician and this show proved it! Thanks for these great videos, Nostalgicflashback!
Looks like it was an awesome show! I'm going to the show at Great American in Cincinnati in August and I am even more excited than I was before after seeing the video. Thanks!
@Nostalgicflashback hi nostalgic, how are you? great footage. could u please tell me if the set list was good? i nver seen him and i am thiking of driving four hours to detroit to see him...this could be my last time since he is getting older. was the stadium full? sound good? thanks
OH MY!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't go, live too far Upstate. This is my favorite Beatle piece, Golden Slumbers onward. Brings tears to my eyes. Paul is simply the most amazing musician ever. Saw him perform this many yrs. ago at Nassau Coliseum. I'm still weak from that. LOVE YOU PAUL!!!!

It was my daughters's first concert, my 2nd time seeing Sir Paul. A night I'll never forget! Paul is undoubtedly the greatest living songwriter/musician and this show proved it! Thanks for these great videos, Nostalgicflashback!
