With a "huge roof" have you done the volume calculation? 1" rain on one SqFt= .5 gallons. Where does the excess water go? Out a garden hose overflow port? I think oztrich24 is on the mark with water movement. I thought they sold a tank to tank 'kit' for that 80 gallon unit? Must not work very well in high volume situations
How does the second barrel get the rain? I can see how it might get a dribble or two but it looks as if the first barrel would have to fill completely, then back up into the downspout to the "Y" (cleanout) before the water would flow to the second barrel. Thus the downspout to the first barrel would have to be completely sealed. A better way would be to have just one downspout and then make a connection at the top side of the first barrel to the second barrel.
Where did you get the barrels from ? My yard is kinda small and i need to save as much space as i can, thanks. :o)

Too much noise.
One downspout is better, and connect the barrels together.
