  • I watched the Last Voyage of the C.W. aaages ago and was liking the music which accompanied many of the waterway scenes. I think it was played with a Banjo though I may be wrong. Tha music has stayed with me for over 18 years and I was wondering if anyone, anywhere may be able to tell me who wrote it, who played it, what's is called and indeed if anyone has an audio.

    Much appreciated.

  • Wonderful series. I would love to see more of it

  • Best series i have ever seen on television, have spoken to the great man himself(Dick Warner) and he hasnt even got a copy of the series, there are copies available in the USA, but apparently cant be exported over here, unless someone knows different?? let us know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for this! I was there when Dick first came in to the place. Was a fantastic series, and I heartily agree that a DVD release would be a godsend.

  • Aplogies - Wiki says it was first broadcast in Ireland in 1991. It transmitted here (Scotland) on Channel 4 in 1994..

  • Yes, Excellent series and particularly apt music from Ronan Hardiman! This is from "The last Voyage of the Charles Whitton" (Waterways) broadcast 1994, not 2004 (I videod it, luckily). Thank you...

  • Where did you get this footage? It's impossible to find copies of Waterways anywhere!!

  • I was sent it as an email. I remember my Dad loved all of Dick Warner's adventures. A prime candidate for a DVD release methinks ....
