if you don't know how to measure octaves i suggest you don't call me stupid, and go get some lessons or something, or you can use your ear and listen to when it sounds like on ocatve, its just the same note exactly 12 semitones up or down on the keyboard.

hes using overdrive, reverb, delay, possibly some phase/chorus and of course a digitech whammy pedal. when adding effects remember subtle is usually better.

did you not hear the solo? or the part at the end. its 2 octaves up setting and its just tremolo strumming and mess around with the whammy to what ever you want. and the part at the end is with the whammy at 2 octaves up the whole way

That effect is attached to Chris' bass. No idea what it is.

In that case it may be some kind of effect coming from the Akai Deep Impact.

However, it would mean that the synthy sound that is being produced must be on some kind of time delay so it only comes on at certain points.
