This is a great cover, really !

But if you allow me a few ojective critics, I would say:

- Missing the backing vocals.

- A bit of effect on singer voice. (may be not available on that date...?)

- Guitars (lead and rythm) sound a bit "crack crack"... a bit too dry and crispy to me.

But the rest is ok, drummer got it right, bass too.

Pretty impressive, nice job. And yeah, you do have an almost eerie resemblance to Grohl's singing on the verses. It actually sounds a bit more Cobain-ish on the chorus.

I've noticed all the covers of this song are faster than the original... It's almost like the bands would just feel too uncomfortable playing it so slow.

One thing to say though, your lead man doesn't seem to know the correct way of playing the song, so it sounds a bit off, especially just before the chorus in the 'well you wanted something better man, wished for something true' part. Also, he needs to play the breakdown solo in the last play of the chorus, both because it just sounds better and climaxing, and because they do it on the record.

Good cover but you'te playing it to fast, when the song is played a bit slower it has more power. Notice the singing, it sounds like you're in a hurry. It's a pity you don't have the backingvocals in this band

Yeah, we know we play it too fast, we tend to get over excited when playing a new song. You'll notice we play the intro rounds 4 times instead of 2. That's just for me, cos i think it's awesome and wanted to play more. We're still not quite right with the harmonic but getting there. Convinced the drummer to do backing vocals on new years eve. Was loads better, took the pressure of me and helps to sound less rushed. Thanks for the feedback. Nice to see proper interest being taken!

Yeah I know man, the thing that's dissapointing is that this was a recording from the mixer so we were really happy with the sound. When compressed on youtube we lost some of the original sound and video quality. Gonna try to upload something from tomorrows gig, more foo fighters I think!
