I don't like Morrison alot. He killed Batman off by one of the dummest villains ever. I mean come on, use Joker, Ras al ghul, or even Lex Luthor. Dc uses darkseid too much. Seriously, look up how much he's used.

Battle of the cowl sucked. Batman RIP is very good, but you have to read Batman & Son and the Black Glove to really understand everything. It's really good

@CawFanMan We don't ^^ DC Universe and Marvel Universe are classic, I hope they never die. Those made my childhood, and I'm still reading comics. It's pretty awesome. It's true we need new super heroes/sidekicks, but we don't need a new universe.

Are you kidding me? This thing SUCKED ASS! It was arbitrary surrealism. Grant Morrison is a fine writer for Vertigo books, but he is garbage at tights & fights.

NOT a major event story? This is supposed to change the entire Batman mythos forever! If that's not your definition of a MAJOR event what would you consider major?

And oh yeah, it was War Games, not gang wars.

The R.I.P. label on the other Gotham titles was a shameless attempt to get everybody to buy everything regardless of it's relavance. I'm surprised that they didn't drag in Simon Dark. On that subject, I still have no idea what the Sightings label is all about.

The Sightings label refers to Final Crisis events, although they are not THAT important.

Back on R.I.P., my opinion is that Morrison is a hell of a science fiction writer, as seen in New X-Men a JLA. Those were intelligent plots with cool twists. But I don't think he's doing that well with a more down-to-earth title like Batman.

Yeah, I need to read his JLA run. Aside from Batman, I've never dug much into DC, but I think someone like Morrison could make it worthwhile. I have enjoyed RIP and will probably pick up Final Crisis when it's collected since it looks like he's tying it all together.
