The tenor's performance in the Met telecast of Tristan und Isolde a couple of seasons ago was absolutely riveting, and will always linger in the memory. This is "The" performance. Emotion, transparency in the upper middle and intimacy. This is really as good as it gets. Bravo to you both. This is it.

I knew Robert when he was a little boy, growing up in Kansas. I lived about 8 miles away from him in Oswego, and still do. It is wonderful to see his success. ( by the way ) We called him Bobby

I truly hope that they will give concerts in europe together or will post more videos... Roberts singing is beautiful and the pianists playing is just brilliant.

wonderful singing - as ever, from RD-S and wonderful playing from the guy at the piano; pity the pianist can't emulate Robert's calmness , detachment and poise.

@TedinNY because there's nothing more distracting than any performer overindulging. RD-S never does that and consequently I'm drawn to the music, his voice and the overall performance all the more. the more 'romantic' the music, the more detachment and poise it needs.
