Based on the inane laughter of the camerman and his buddy, who clearly need an outlet for their "creative" energies, I'm guessing that they made the snowman.

Regardless, the bus driver shouldn't have veered, which may have caused the bus to fishtail or worse, or, at the very least, have damaged the bus, or blinded the driver with the snow from the force of the collision. He should simply have contacted his dispatcher and/or the police.
