@theaccidentalpoet Presuming you are somewhat of a rock fan, generally 'riff' is used to describe melodies played on guitars and the like, describing piano you would use 'melody' rather than 'riff'. Just pointing that out :)

The opening piano "melody" (satisfied MournTillDawn?) of Gonzales "Overnight" and Bonnie Raitt "I Can't Make You Love Me" are similar; the only variance being the first 4 notes or so, but that's a whole different conversation completely. The two songs in question and this upload are all great. Let is us enjoy.
