I can't comprehend watching this and not thinking it's great. Don't get me wrong- this upbeat dance arrangement is questionable for the song but the performance was awesome. The lyrics fit much better with the original version, but the melody is so kick-ass that it could have worked as a dance song. Sometimes they change too much of the song on these shows to try to be original. So I get that, but comments about how Melanie is not a good singer make me laugh.

My honest opinion. Very boring power ballad-karaoke singer. The girl hasn't much character - she's bland and uninteresting. The most interesting thing about her - beside the voice is the over hyped Virgin Island accent. Does she have some songs of her own? She doesn't.

She's a good singer, I see that, but I'm a HUGE Adele fan, and I love Someone Like You. It was too dramatic, and it should just be a piano song. Sorry, but she's loses points from me.

I will say this and I repeat I will say this- No one is ever as good as Adele herself. Some people like Melanie have come very close to being as good as Adele but keep in mind she is not as good as Adele is at this song. That being said Melanie was so good at this version I hope she seriously wins the show for good. She deserves it with such great talent :)

Before Melanie sang this song I had barely heard of Adele and never heard the song before, I enjoyed it, and felt she really did another outstanding job.
Now after listening to the original Adele song I'm even more convinced that it was another great performance.

I personally thought it was amazing. So what if it's not a 'happy song' originally? Robyn does exactly the same thing - she sings sad songs with upbeat dance backing music and it makes it seem as if the song's a happy song when actually the lyrics contrast that. Melanie's done that, and she did it brilliantly.

This version is WAY better than Adele's original. Not to say Adele's music is bad, I love it. But a pop version of this song is way better and Melanie NAILED it! Adele's version is too slow and depressing. Thumbs up if you voted for Melanie Amaro!

My honest opinion. Very boring power ballad-karaoke singer. The girl hasn't much character - she's bland and uninteresting. The most interesting thing about her - beside the voice is the over hyped Virgin Island accent. Does she have some songs of her own? She doesn't.
Btw - terrible version of one of Adele's best songs. A butchery of her music in fact.
