The president does not always ride in a limo, he rides also in a black bus and black suburbans which bear the presidential seal. BTW he also uses the 2 types of limos the Beast as well as the bus era DTS, but he doesn't make those determinations. The Secret Service since the Kennedy Admin determines how the president rides.

as the motorcade passes, the vehicles setting roadblocks are moved from their position and join the end of the motorcade. that is why there are so many vehicles, chp, behind the motorcade.
