I have to cry every time that I watch this video and hear this song in German. I lost my grandfather in WW2 . He was with the German SS Prinz Eugen regiment, and left to fight when my father was still a young boy. Not knowing what had happened to him or if he fell or where he is buried makes it all the harder to deal with. Every time I watch the video, I look for him, but all I ever see are poor men suffering and dying for what they were ordered to do. I will just have to keep on looking, Fred

I lost my grandfather in 1942 somewhere under Voronezh. This is what my grandmother told me and I do not know where he is buried. Whatever the circumstances of his death, he was and is a hero, who fought Nazi beasts and gave up his life doing this. People like my grandfather left this world free from death, enslavement and humiliation carried by ones like your grandfather. . Bravo, dem kann ich nur noch mal zustimmen.
Wer sich mit der Geschichte der Dietrich und der der Deutschen auseinandergesetzt hat, kann dieses Lied nur gut finden.
Aber Blödmänner, die von einer besseren Welt faseln, wird es wohl leider immer wieder geben.
Einfach mal einen Blick in die Geschichtsbücher werfen.
Von mal von Bergen Belsen, Theresienstadt, Auschwitz etc. gehört.
Es lebe Marlene und ihr gelebter Pazifismus.

Ich glaube, Du hast mich nicht richtig verstanden! Ich habe nur zitiert "Bessere Welt". Das ist nicht meine Meinung. Eigentlich dachte ich, ich hätte mich klar ausgedrückt und gute Argumente genannt,dass es nicht um eine bessere Welt ging.
Wie wieso Du mich als Drecksack bezeichnest kann ich nicht verstehn. Vielleicht sollte man mal nachfragen, wenn man irgendwas nicht versteht. Dann könnte es zu einer Klärung kommen.

The territories which Poland regained in 1918 were originally Polish and annexed by Prussia only at the end of 18th century. The population of those territoies displayed their choice in the uprising in december 1918 (in favour of joining Poland).

Most served in the LUFTWAFFE..killed in action!, Ironically, My American great uncle ARNO..was shot down, by NAZI flak bombing DRESDEN..where he was born in the 1920s..Guess, nowadays we call it KARMA..What comes around, finaly comes around.. or whatever!
