The reason the uniforms look different was because, even though this was the tenth episode shown [originally telecast on November 10, 1966], this was the first episode of the series to be filmed (in the summer of '66) after the second pilot- "Where No Man Has Gone Before"- had sold the series to NBC. Everyone was still "feeling their way" through the settings and characters. Ted Cassidy is "Balok's" voice during most of the episode; Vic Perrin dubs Clint Howard at the end.
