The only complaint I have about Trivium is that Matt's screamed vocals are quite subpar and sound like he's REALLY forcing it. Other than that, Trivium is one of the best metalcore bands out there. His clean singing is fantastic though.

I hate how Trivium is a mix of screaming and really melodic tone at the same time, in my opinion bands like Five Finger Death Punch are the only ones who should use screaming because they have overall a heavier tone.

@GoodbyeSolitude It's partially due to the fact that there was a guy named Ahrue Luster (or something) in their band who now play with Ill Nino, a nu metal band. Rob should have never listened to him. It was a shitty decesion, but it boosted their popularity. Machine head is one of the best metal bands ever.

@straightpunkrocker Actually, Trivium plays on seven string guitars. I forget the exact tuning but most of their work is FAR below drop D. It actually pisses me off, you have to have a good chunk of money to get the right equipment to do their music correctly. But it's still an unholy extreme of awesomeitude.

no their demo stuff, ember and ascendancy were on 6 string drop d tuning the crusade was 6 string standard and a song or two like the crusade were done on 7 strings and shogun was majority standard tuning on 7 string now they are back to 6 string drop d i believe
