and NASCAR/ARCA drivers are contractors, they can leave a team if they have the money to buy out.

NASCAR is just the sanctioning body that puts on the events, the teams are the ones who build the chassis/engines, and sign the drivers.

besides, no offense to alfalla, do you really think sponsors, or teams are going to sign someone who has never driven a race car, or has no racing background, to drive a multi-million dollar stock car? at best, AT BEST, the teams will sign the iracing champ to a development contract where they start them out in like the weekly series ranks or late model tour.

iRacing is in the unique position of needing to ask for incredibly intimate details about the car. Many manufacturers don't want to divulge them.

It's not about you, us, the subscribers, it's about making a product and selling it. As a result some of the content of the product will be necessary (due to partnerships etc), and some of it will be up to the developer. As far as necessities go, the CTS-V R isn't a bad one.
