I don't have an espresso machine, but I'm considering buying a MyPressi, but would still like to have some equipment to make micro foam for lattes (latte art?)
@chrizzzer84 This is tough as none of the stand alone frothers really do great microfoam that is latte art quality. They're all more geared toward fluffy foam for cappuccinos or warm milk + foam for lattes. If you can find a stove top steamer that is safely constructed, that would be your best bet as you'd be able to actually traditionally steam the milk. Short of that, I'd probably go with the Capresso Froth Pro or Breville Milk Cafe - Kat
@SeattleCoffeeGear I dont know maybe it was just my bad luck but I only had this issue with one one their product, bodum travel press. I still enjoy my 5 years old double walled tea glasses :) They are still good as new after all the abuse i have put them under(not mentioning how I dropped them endless amount of time on the living room carpet!)
@SeattleCoffeeGear bamix is a brand of stick blender that comes with different types of blades/heads... i had used them quite alot in those fancy restaurants where ....foams and emulsions are on the menu... and low fat milk shakes can be made with skim milk rather than ice cream with those blender
@peanutking242 I figured that, I have had several immersion blenders but none have ever come with an 'aeration head' so I was wondering what that looked like. Do you use it for whipping cream, etc.? - Kat
@SeattleCoffeeGear bamix called it "A" blade... basically a its a small flat disk... i find the attachment not so good for whipping cream as it tends to over whipped the cream to the point of splitting
Sure it appears to work well, but does it work well enough for Gail to pour latte art? That is really what is in question here!! :-) BTW, their up & down plunger model (i.e. the hand operated milk frother) does a really great job also.
Shame that the Latte does not have an auto feature, that way you could make your coffee and have the milk frothed and ready when the coffee was as well. I still say the Aerolatte is my favorite milk frother.
Hi Kat!

Which product would you recommend for this?
BTW - Love you videos

@Malangsufi Interesting -- we have sold a ton of Bodum and haven't had a lot of feedback on that. Thank you for sharing your experience! - Kat

Consider that you could remove the mixer bar bit, attach it to a 14" angle grinder and have frothed milk... on the ceiling!

@ray5961 Yeah, we carry the manual frother and that has been very popular. I don't think the end goal of this is latte art quality milk ;) - Kat
