I was only 7 at the time of 9/11 but I knew ppl that were in that crash nd how much pain it caused their families to know that they watched a family die over a war that has nothing to do with a civilian to this day it brings tears to my eyes to think back on the day where I lost someone so close nd to see it,hurt me to the core even now tears build up so I can understand for the ones that dislike this...because no one likes to hurt nd to feel this man's heavy words may have reminded ppl of that

I know it was one of the most devastating events in American history and I know I can't really get as emotional about 9/11 as American's can because im Canadian, but what about World War 2? Wow I remember this day! I was in 3rd grade in Atlanta and I remember watching this on the TV and the whole school was so quiet and sad. Everyone was getting checked out. And I know Atlanta people were a little on edge also because the CDC(Center Disease Control) is in Atlanta and if they was to blow it up it could cause Global warfare. They have all diseases from the WORLD in there for testing, including air borne things...

I remember I was getting ready for school and about 6:30am (PST) and my Mom was just sitting, watching the news with her hand over her mouth. Then she told me what happen. I didn't know how tragic it was until I got to school. The towers were only on fire when I left the house, then I get to school about 7:20am and find out one of them collapsed. Minutes later, they said the second one collapsed. We didn't even do class work my first few classes. We just watched the news.

You can be pretty deep when you wanna be.Hotdamn :-) I was working @ a middle school on Richmond, VA (I was a 1:1 counselor). They had us all evacuate the school like a fire drill. People were talking about it but none of it was real to me. I was in shock and denial and did not watch the 9/11 footage until that Saturday, it happened on a Tuesday. So I had a delayed reaction and it hit me pretty hard all at once. No family or friends were affected directly but it was still a very sad time.
I was at home, mad because my pokèmon wasn't on and my mom mom grabbed me and she was panicking and I was like, the fuck, RIP to everyone that died :(

On 9/11 i think i was in the 4th grade, school had just started and thats when they showed us the news. Make it so bad my school was about 2 miles away from an airport and all the planes were landing. i kept thinking that one was going to crash into my school. Im 20 now and i have not been on a plane yet.

I was heading to class and already I knew something was wrong. There was no one on campus, no teachers, no students, everyone was gone. I assumed everyone was in class but when I got to my classroom one of the professors told me classes were canceled. I finally overheard what happened on the bus on the way home and all I could think of was "Shit, my mom works near the towers. She can see them from her office." Phone service was down, the news feeds were all over the place, I was terrified.
Cont. - Thankfully she was able to call the house and told me she was being evacuated. She had to walk, through all that ash and smoke and disintegrated humanity. She still can't watch the video footage of the planes going into the towers, but then, who can? I saw the second plane crash just seconds after my teacher cut on the tv....my son to be wife was on that plane. She survived by climbing down the Tower with a rope. Only her and a young baby in her arms survived from that crash....And to think of why things happen.

I still lived in Cali, so I wasn't in school yet, it was like 5am. My mom woke up crying saying she had a nightmare about the twin towers. She woke up, turned the news on, and her nightmare had become reality. It was so freaky, she dreamt about it like 10 minutes before it happened. Everytime I watch a documentary or something about it, I start crying. It's truly heartbreaking.

I came into my 2nd class and the tv was already on the Today show with the 1st tower on fire. I didn't know a plane went into that. I figured it's the WTC, it's on fire, so that qualifies for special coverage. The volume was down, I'm watching waiting for the teacher to come back in the room when the 2nd plane hit. EVERYONE watching with me sat there shocked. I live in Maryland and I started to get scared when I heard about the Pentagon and AT THE TIME a building in PA. That day was crazy.

But hearing it was terrorists spooked my whole family. I stayed home for like a week.
I remember one of my classmates was crying her eyes out because one of her uncles worked at the World Trade Center. Luckily he didn't go the work that day and she told us later that he was okay.

You can be pretty deep when you wanna be.Hotdamn :-) I was working @ a middle school on Richmond, VA (I was a 1:1 counselor). They had us all evacuate the school like a fire drill. People were talking about it but none of it was real to me. I was in shock and denial and did not watch the 9/11 footage until that Saturday, it happened on a Tuesday. So I had a delayed reaction and it hit me pretty hard all at once. No family or friends were affected directly but it was still a very sad time.

I was in the fifth grade. We were walking out to go to PE when our teacher ran back out to us. She told the PE teachers something and then, suddenly, she started spazzing the fuck out. We ran back in the classroom and the first thing she said, well screamed was that 'I'll die before anything hurts these babies. I'll die." Once we got back in the classroom, one by one, parents came to pick up their kids. I was like the 3rd to go.

I saw the second plane crash just seconds after my teacher cut on the tv....my son to be wife was on that plane. She survived by climbing down the Tower with a rope. Only her and a young baby in her arms survived from that crash....And to think of why things happen.

She woke up, turned the news on, and her nightmare had become reality. It was so freaky, she dreamt about it like 10 minutes before it happened. Everytime I watch a documentary or something about it, I start crying. It's truly heartbreaking.

I came into my 2nd class and the tv was already on the Today show with the 1st tower on fire. I didn't know a plane went into that. I figured it's the WTC, it's on fire, so that qualifies for special coverage. The volume was down, I'm watching waiting for the teacher to come back in the room when the 2nd plane hit. EVERYONE watching with me sat there shocked. I live in Maryland and I started to get scared when I heard about the Pentagon and AT THE TIME a building in PA. That day was crazy.
