1981 yamaha maxim custom ratbike/bobber MURDERED OUT!

This bike is awesome! I got myself an 81' XJ550 too, I plan to do it up in a similar style to yours. I've already put custom pipes on it, stripped some fairing junk off + bogged and matte-blacked the tank and frame etc. I have pod filters ready to go on, did you put the pod filters on yourself? I was doing some homework before I fit them and read a few people advising against it stating the dramas around getting it to run right afterwards. Any advice in regards to carbs etc? Thanks
