I agree that god doesnt take something away from you to compensate you with a gift. Scott has the gift of music. Im not religious but i respect Scotts views on god. He has an amazing talent and is such a nice guy and i hope things go well in the future for him as hes had it difficult up till now. My 6 year old son was diagnosed with cancer so i have never really believed there is a god. Each and everyone of us has a talent, we maybe havent realised it yet. Wishing Scott well from Scotland.

Scott is so amazing and he was my favourite on AI. I'm so sad he got voted off! I know he's planning on recording some of his own music that he is written. We have not seen the last of him! I also love the fact that he is such a strong Christian as well. My one question is, in the interview he says his birthday was "last month" and his birthday is in June, so to me the interview would have been done in July, but it says from January. It's a puzzlement!

What really appeals to me, besides his obvious talent & passion, is how he's able to share his story without playing the sympathy card. A lot of Idol contestants tell sob stories & try & convince everyone that they "really want this", almost to the point of begging (see Nathaniel Marshall). But Scott doesn't at all & that is truly admirable. Having to deal with blindness & kidney failure would throw a lot of people into self-pity & despair but Scott just has such a refreshing attitude. Love it.

im only 12 years old yet scott has managed to inspire me. im not christian but i do believe in god. i was not a very consistent worke, but when i saw scott sing there and play the piano even with his leagally blind problem i was touched i have a stuck a photo of him in my room so that whenever i look at it im motivated. Scott has got potential and spirit he has fought against his blindness but u know what this blind man has seen more of the world than any person with eyes.

2 yrs ago, a girl from my hometown of El Paso TX won a spot to go to Las Vegas and tryout for American Idol. She competed and earned a spot to go to LA. She survived three weeks or maybe four weeks. American Idol never showed her. The only reason why my city knew of her progress is because my hometown sent a report to cover her and the show. She interviewed one of the producers. They told her that the she was too ugly to be on the show. She was legally blind and had physical impairments.
