  • You listen to some good music, bro.

  • Listening Metallica and building medieval armory, Is there anything more manly than that?

  • Really good tutorial

  • very nice, how did you get the depressions in the stump? also what kind of wood is the stump? you should make a full metal shield like that.

  • make more vids this one is cool but keep the radio off :)

  • You do what I dream of doing. How I envy you

  • How long did it take to make the shield boss?

  • @MrPekkaHeino It probably only took him 30-60 minutes I bet.

  • Plan on playing "Skyrim"?

  • now that is a freakin awesome hobby, great stuff man

  • Is including a boss absolutely necessary? I have made 2 shields and not used a boss, but they wound up breaking, and didn't absorb a lot of the impacts, I think just from being made out of fiber-glassed plywood. I have started a 3rd plank shield, made out of 2.5x5.5 pine planks. It is 24in long by 18in tall. If you have any advice, I would love to hear back.

  • what are the measurements for the boss depression?

  • what thickness was the metal you used?

  • @lazzablazza He said 16 guage.

  • what thickness was the metal you used?

  • DUDE!! you have Stone Temple Pilots going on in the backround, that's like my favorite band and i'm a 13 year old girl:) By the way, great video!

  • Hey thanks for the video tons of help. I do have a few questions for you:

One: How did you make the dishing stump? Like how did you make the impressions in it.

Two: Were do you get the Planishing tool? You can get back to me at jbarone80@gmail.com thanks

  • @germanhuntingdog The dishing stump was made with a chainsaw. You just use the tip of the saw to carve the dishes out.

  • how you dd make the holes in the tree stump?

  • @RockingOrange11 chainsaw

  • @airsoftsniper171 jigsaw

  • How did you get the dishes in the stump?

  • @azrael6699 chainsaw

  • Haha Metallica song while making shields. Epic win!

  • Nice work ! I want suggest you to fix your stump. You will lose less power from yours hits.

  • nice background music

  • for the dishing block did you burn out those holes?

  • damn you got a nice shop bro

  • I always figured 16 gauge would be too thin for this

  • @lockbreak12 14gauge would be better, if you plan on fighting with the shield...

  • Long live rock and roll

  • Watch part two and three...

  • I mean holes in wood not than in the umbo
