the jazzy effect to this is perfect. The fact that a band who is mostly rock oriented, adds random, unexpected bits(like this) and executes it well just shows how talented they are. Radiohead can seriously do no wrong.
It's funny how much people debate Kid A vs. Amnesiac. Albums that seems like brothers are pretty rare. In my opinion, Kid A has more of an expansive desolate atmosphere, while Amnesiac is more claustrophobic and unnerving. They're both amazing albums, and are both among Radiohead's best. Amnesiac is my personal favorite due to the moments in the album like this song.
@Levente20 King of the Limbs isn't as good as Amnesic or Kid A, but its by far a great album to the Radiohead collection. I am particulary interested in "Bloom", "Morning Mr.Magpie" "Feral" and "Lotus Flower". The only song I am sorta uneasy about is "Give Up the Ghost", which I also know is a song off of Yorke's solo albums.
Brilliant. Woozy New Orleans style. I really think that Thom Yorke is a composer and impressionistic artist. If he had grown up in an earlier era he would have been a jazz composer. Earlier still and he would have composed classical pieces. He has the music in him, and he used what was familiar to produce it.
@WickedLiquid Yeah, I am just starting to get into jazz and have been into radiohead for sometime, so for me this is a natural marriage of two very awesome things coming together!
@yeahsee33 thanks for the share, i am actually a radiohead fan!!! like u, i have a WIDE range of music i like and listen too.....i just seem to sing a certain style of music.....coz my voice is limited.
@mrsvend3245 I'm talking about how the song's introduction is a false introduction to the rest of the track. The listener is led to believe it will be an electronic tune only 15 secs. later to be surprise that the track is a New Orleans funeral theme. Do you understand? Or is your pretentious, I'm a Radiohead fan (which means I know everything about music) going to tell me different?

The most depressing Radiohead song in a catalogue full of super- depressing songs. Not a bad thing, though.

This song is so beautiful, but the one thing that's bugging me is that I can't figure out the time signature. Is it 4/4? Or does it change?
katekate201 1 year ago
@katekate201 I tihnk it is 4/4 but it syncopates a little
speedybill47 1 year ago
@katekate201 i think it always stays 4/4, but it slows down near the end.
MinkyBoodle44 1 year ago
@MinkyBoodle44 Maybe 3/4, which is basically identical to 4/4.
THEYahamaDrummer 1 year ago
@THEYahamaDrummer
similar but different. 3/4 pretty much makes you feel you can do a 4/4 fill on any instrument but then you fail xD
