I saw this a few years after it came out in the theaters, late one night on television. I was so touched by the story and the performances, especially Christopher Reeve's despair in the end, until you saw the two characters joined together in death. It left such a lump in my throat, and it still does today. One of his best films!

Jane Seymour, in her Victorian attire, especially in the scene on the lawn by the lake, has got to be the most beautiful and feminine woman that God has ever created. Combine that with the most beautiful melody and musical theme ever composed, and all set in a fitting, dreamy and interesting plot/story---makes into my favorite movie of all time. Sends me into a pleasant, warm, dreamy, detached- from- reality state that I enjoy on occasion.

This film was made by its soundtrack. Without the great music, it would've been a sleeper. I think Jane Seymour was miscast. Prim and proper stiff upper lip type ladies don't make the best love interests.

He wanted to meet me years ago, but I never was able to. So this movie is the True Love Story, and the Song is so Beautiful. Reminds me of my Fiance, Ray, who passed 3 years ago. GIGI

I visited the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island when I was in Michigan. The hotel is the same as it was when the movie was shot. Cloths updated of course but many people go to revisit the movie.

I watch this movies frequently and I cry most of the way through every time I watch it. He loved the theme song so much, we would rewind the movie so he could listen to it. Absolutely the best!

She loved the music and even today reflects with tears when she hears it. I am also sure she misses the romanticism that we shared. It is strange how you can bury events in your heart and the Rhapsody on the Theme of Paganini from Rachmaninoff, or Somewhere in Time will bring it back like it was last night.
