  • One of my favs...fav group and fav song by that group

  • When was this video filmed? Has to be in the 70's. George Younce looked old even back then. I seen him on the Gaither Homecoming Wildwood Church filmed in 2001.

  • @wduane2807 1982 or 83.

  • i love this vid so much, i was in high school wen the song came out n...i miss going to those singings wen i was young n had few responsibilities..those were the best days...tho..i'm enjoying life just fine now...i miss the cathedrals

  • Danny Funderburk was also there this day, but he was with another quartet... correct me if I´m wrong...

  • @brunobelz Yes Danny was there with the Singing Americans.

  • Classic

  • I was raised on this song brings back so many memories

  • What year is this video from?

  • Great stuff and a great group!

  • The bass singing Is George Younes! He sang with Bill and Gloria Gaither after the catherdarl quartet

  • This is the best lineup ever.

  • I agree. Kirk rocks.....

  • I like that piano playing. I just always liked that style of piano playing. I've got to find out how he does that one run he does in those high notes, almost sounds like the way somebody plays a banjo. I try watching Anthony Berger on the Gaithers but his hands move so fast. I got fast hands myself, but Anthony got some kind of extra special anointing from God to do what he does. He always gave God the glory for his abilities. Quartets, I just hope this music never dies out. I Love that harmony

  • beautiful!

  • Agreed. This song is great because of its simplicity - piano, guitar, and vocals. It's all they need. Post more please!

  • There's nothing like a quartet gathered around a piano and a bass and just sing. That's how it should be! Elvis did he best work like that!

  • This is a great song!

  • The Cathedrals. Nobody like them. The 8os and early 90s were the best years of the quartet in my opinion.

  • wish gospel music would sound that good now

  • now that's quartet singing

  • Greatest lineup, fantastic song!!!!!

  • my #1 favorite song by the cathedrals

  • Can you save to an iPad with that program? The Free FLV?

  • can any 1 tell if its possible too burn this music too a cd?? ty mary11848

  • mary...get the program "Free FLV Converter". upgrade it and you will be able to save this as a mp3.

  • Kirk may have fallen, but who are we to judge? He's still a gifted songwriter and amazing singer!

  • I still like Kirk, we must all forgive each

other like God would have us do. What

happened in his life, I did not know he

    had problems. Thanks, BW

  • Kirk has had a lot of changes in his life and now has an added ministry as he shares his struggles and how God restored him. He has a great testimony.

  • Yeah, I saw him a few months ago...he didn't really talk much about it though, it was a concert. He did great!

  • I pray that he has changed. Such a great talent.

We all have made lots of mistakes. God is good!

  • This would have to be ca. 1982/83 since they recorded "Step Into the Water" in 1982.

  • well when ever it was recorded it is a great song and sung very well. these guys have great voices

  • this was certainly early 80´s, well but, Kirk came to the cathedrals in 1979...

I imagine he was about 20 years old, or less, during his career in Cathedrals, he looks very young...

  • Wasn't it Gospel Singing Jubilee this was on? It aired from c.1964-c.1981.

  • It was from Sing Out America.

  • those dates won't work cause roger bennet is playing piano? more like 1991!

  • scratch that Kirk Talley singing tenor so its around 1980's

  • Agreed, more likely in early 80's. I believe, Danny came in 85-87

  • This song was oringinally recorded by the group in 1982, so this was most likely recorded betweem 82-83, since Kirk left the group to start the Talleys in '84.

  • roger played before ernie came he was playing for them in the early 80s

  • yes, actually, roger is playing the piano and it is the early 80's.

  • I love these never before seen clips of the Cats, thank you much.

  • Where was this? What video was this?

  • This was recorded in a television studio for broadcast on a gospel music program.

  • One of my absolute favorites by The Cathedrals! Thanks for posting!
