  • is this quad better/faster then the polaris scrambler?

  • If you are a casual trail rider who likes going fast and likes trail riding in the mud, the Scrambler might be better. If you like to ride hard most of the time, prefer a manual transmission, and dont have an interest in 4wd, Outlaw is a better choice. Its amost like comparing any 450cc class high performance machine with most 4x4s.

  • I own this same quad, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to stand out from the pack. I got a CFM Airbox w/ uni filter, JD Jetting, HMF Slip-on, 15 tooth front sprocket, AC Grab Bar, IMS Roll Bumper, Rath Racing 44 Series Nerf Bars, and Trail Tech Vector computer. Really the air box I have is the best you can get for it if you still want to go through water,My outlaws running around 85mph now but I'm going to add a rev box and see if I hit get 90.

  • im 14 and im not serious rider but i love to ride in my woods! would you reccomend this quad?

  • Do you think i would be able to go and do trails but all so it the track?

  • Hello, in 1,5 years im gonna get my driver license and i dont know what to chose, the outlaw or the raptor becouse i also want to tune it a bit but i found better packages for the raptor(like a turbo or bigger engine), i'm gonna use my quad to go to school but in the weekend i'm gonna race on it, so could somebody help me?

  • @juventusfan8 the raptor has more power and more upgrade options so I would say go for the raptor

  • @ATVondemand what r the downfalls to the outlaw and what is the difference between the outlaw 525 and the outlaw 525 s?

  • haha... 5:53 the guy.. "and contine to hall butt"

  • @ATVondemand do u think that this Atv would be good for someone that wants instant power likes trail rides and does some jumps but not very big ones

  • Absolutely. This machine is great for trails and will smoke your buddies in the wide open sections. It has a bit more torque then most of the 450s but clutch wear was an issue on both of our 525 test units. We toasted clutches when we started picking our way through super slow rock gardens as first gear is a bit too tall for crawling along.

  • I really like mine, but the air box.. Anyone know an air box that I can get to improve the power. I know a guy who got one, but he can't go through water with it. So what I'm looking for is an air box to improve power, and is still water proof.

  • i dont get y the retired the preadator i have one and they have loads of power

  • i wanna be a test rider

  • Did he almost fall at 8:23 ???

  • @TheEggdude16, No. Aaron Meyer is a very skilled rider. His cross up was very intentional. Riders like Aaron are great to film tests with. He can show off what a machine is really capable of doing.

  • i have a dirtbike...but for quads..is this automatic transmission? or do you still use the clutch to change gears?

  • @ApriliaNinja That depends on the quad!!... Polaris outlaw's and predators have a five speed transmission just like a bike... Some like kawasaki's kfx700 and can am's renegades are automatics... all the fast quads are five speeds except those two....

  • 7:15, that guy is good!

  • Got a 2010 525 S Outlaw yesterday. Love this beast.

  • Fun fact btw...most people who bag the outlaw, have never even rode one. they have bias opinions usually favoring yamaha. i see it all the time. i think you cant hate it till you ride it. seriously polaris did it big with this atv!

  • i love my 2008 Outlaw 525s! it was a beast bone stock, with a good rider on mine my brother in-law could beat a Raptor 700r with full exhaust, K&N filter, power commander, and an open air box. just depends on the rider, but the 525 definatly has potental! i easily sunk a grand into it, for performance an appearance! i havent had any trouble with it! love the hell out of it!

  • Nevermind figured it out but I've got another question... Will predator skidplates work on an outlaw... Cause I can't find a swingarm skidplate for an outlaw

  • Maybe someone knows this... In 2007 did Polaris make a 525s? Or just the 525irs?

  • @ShawnJSpiller just the irs dude

  • anything polaris is bad ass!

  • that mystery rider is a badass!!

  • The mystery rider is Pro-Am National racer Aaron Meyer from Harrison Ohio

  • @ATVonDemand YES! OHIO! FOR ONCE SOMEONE FROM OHIO THATS AWESOME!

  • i have a ltr450 now im going to sell it soon i like the outlaw 525s but i dont care for Polaris to much i had a scrambler and it was nice but a lot of little things went wrong. i might get the trx700xx i rode one before and it was real nice u just wish it has a straight axle. im 16 by the way

  • I'm more of a Honda guy, but the new Polaris sport quads (2003 and up) are nice looking, and from everyone i know that has one, it's reliable. Nice power, too.

  • my friend just got one today... its bad ass!

  • i liked the pred but that is bad

  • nothin against ya'll but polaris sucks some major dick. polaris makes some really cheap quality sports quads and the trailblazers are terrible.

  • yah that air cleaner sucks all it is is 2 pre filters

  • yah that air cleaner sucks on the s all it is is 2 pre filters

  • is it an auto mantic or manual ???

  • Comment removed

  • what the fuck a scrambler?

  • @RedBullBurger25 what about a kfx 700?

  • Manual,only

  • Polaris Polaris Outlaw 525 S all the way!!

  • really good rider! and a really nice quead. Polaris all the way!!

  • Comment removed

  • DAMN that guy can ride!!!

  • could someone who knows about the polaris 500 outlaw explain to me when the best time to check the engine oil is. I can't seem to get this whole dry sump oiling over my head and dont want too risk having to much or too little oil in her. Please help me !! thank you

  • Great riding....just wondering are these bikes suppose to beat on like they show there??

  • yeah thats what its made for prettty well i got one like this also and i pound on it alot :)

  • great driver

  • tendrias qe vender todas tus bakas para comprar una de esas hahaha

  • huh ?

  • al 100 compa esta moto es la mejor quisiera comprar una

  • this is sick this is the ATV i want!

  • hows this for an all around quad..im getting out of dirt biking and i want a fast quad how is this?

  • i would for surely 100% recommend the polaris outlaw 450mxr. i had owned a 04 trx450r and swithced to polaris and im very happy i did i cant say much about hte 2009 outlaws though being both mine are 2008's but get a polaris trust me youll be happy you did!

  • whats flat out top speed? an estimate will do... my bro and i have a drz 400 suzuki and were lookin for a quad that can keep up with it on straight flat smooth gravel roads ( we have no shortage of them)

  • IN stock condition I am not sure which has a faster flat out top speed. The Polaris does have considerably more horsepower and could be geared up to be much faster then the Z on top speed.

  • @snowyphil65 faster than ur suzuki thts for sure

  • @rideYamahaOrdie not stock, my suzu does 96mph

  • the irs for trail and s for racing, depends upon which one you want to do more they do both very well lol

  • i dont like the rear suspension on outlaws.. predator still rulez in my opinion

  • damn hese look so much better than the new design i wish theyd stuck with the look of the 2008's new ones r gay lookin no character

  • I found a 2007 525 IRS (I'm pretty sure they look the same) for bout $5,000. Would that be a good deal? Sorry, sort of a noob on this stuff.

  • yeah, the original msrp is $7,399

but when you go to buy it, say you only have $4,700 so ull get a even btr deal

  • Alright thanks, I'll see what they say.

  • ofc, its polaris. its a good deal. outlaw 525 irs owns. best acceleration quad ever. ( under 1000cc)

  • if its unused its a once in a liftime chance:P but if it is used its also a good deal couldnt get it better:)

  • bull shit eee racing (ed morris) manufactured a a kawasaki 500 with independent rear suspension to race in d 38

  • should i by a outlaw 525 or the yfz450 or trx450

  • yfz

  • yfz=overrated. go for the 525irs if your just gona ride. if you want to race buy the trx.

  • trx dude - the honda will smoke most atv's w/o needing mods.

  • lol is that a joke?

  • uh wrong, hondas are gay as fuck.

  • hell yeah!

  • 525, faster.

  • man this has been my dream ATV since 2006. i have a little suzuki 80cc. damn this atv is bad ass. I hope to get one later on in life

  • you suck ass

  • outlaw 525 is an animal, i raced leafsrule and it beat my 700 raptor.

  • arron meyer and joe magoo be my guess on who made this video lol

  • outlaw rules

  • id say get the outlaw, much better for trail ridding and racing.

  • Right now im tryin to decide whether to buy an 07 Predator 500 or 07 Outlaw 525 IRS, they are both brand new, 525 has been ridin once for demo and the Predator has Polaris accessories, which one should I get?? both are around same price, low-mid 4k range, .. Im likin the Outlaw better..

  • yea im thinkin the outlaw but thats just me........

  • if you want to race on a track the predator is better because the irs tends to want to roll in the corners, not a problem for experienced riders, but for beginners to average it can mean trouble. if you are trail riding/racing the outlaw will dominate the predator with ease because of the huge increase in midrange power and the IRS climbs over most obstacles fairly easy.

  • For the same amount of money I would go with the 525

  • @tymanzr2 depends what does the preator have on it i own 2 predators myself a 50th anniversery troy lee design and an 07 standered both are excelent machines

  • Are these even worth buying? i know someone who has one and it backfires all the time n is a real piece of crap but idk it seems pretty nice

  • tell ur bud to adjust the throttle ......or could be thin air but either way needs to be adjusted

  • its the jetting, they did it to get around the emissions, the 09's dont do it though i dont know if they altered it or what .. it could possibly be where we live, but i own a 09 now .

  • Reverse and Electric start!!!???

These manufactures are really pussifing the sport atv. I guess when all the fat little kids playing nintendo grow up and buy a atv, it is mandatory for it to have E start and Reverse since they are use to doing so little.

    It makes me sick!

  • Maybe you should push your ATV around or ride mountain bikes. You will get more of a workout that way. This is high performance trail machine, Why not have reverse?

  • I do ride mtb, and road and lift....

Reverse on a HP machine to ME is a joke!!

  • apparently you never got stuck on a hillclimb or in a mud hole or any other situation...

thats like saying you'd rather run drag slicks in a mud hole instead of knobbies because knobbies give you an unfair advantage.

  • @ATVonDemand well played..... =p

  • what is faster in a drag race the s or irs

  • We never raced the two head to head. I think it would depend on how smooth and how good the traction is on the drag strop. If it were on concrete most likely the S would win since there is less power loss through the single chain drive system then there is through the IRS's rear end. If the drag strip were rocky or bumpy the IRS might hook up better and get the jump on the solid axle model.

  • Is the front end really light?

  • The front end is rather light on the machine. It didn't seem to be much of a problem on climbs, but wheelies are no problem. A bit of aftermarket tuning to make the suspension set lower in the travel would help the front end feel more planted.

  • OMG yea i just got done looking at one.

  • Dunno why everyone disses on the IRS... If you really think its harder to handle then you have probably never ridden the Outlaw. It corners WAY better than what I traded in for it ( Raptor 660 ).. It honestly made my Raptor feel like the change I made from my Scrambler to my Raptor... I laughed at my Scrambler lol.. now I laugh at my raptor.. probably harder lol. IRS is amazing. And IRS would run WAY better on this video.. they should have used it.

  • Sure, compared to the Raptor 660 the outlaw IRS corners a lot better. The Raptor 660 was one of the tippiest full sized ATVs ever made! The Polaris IRS handles great and better then solid rear axle machines in many situations. I had an Outlaw 525 IRS for about six months last year.

  • the new outlaws loook like white ktms pretty much lol

  • Polaris look like they are really upping their game for 09,I mean that sportsman 850 v twin looks to be killer and i really like the more edgy futuristic look of the outlaws...

  • Agreed

  • i love the look of my new 09, but the battery is real hard to reach, and i wish it was a 6 speed id have a bit of top end, its hard to find neutral, it dont like to start hot either, could use a better starter or something, but the rest of the bike is great love it, stock tires are terrible dont deserve razr on the side i have razr 2's on it off my kfx 440 and i ordered a new set a size bigger then stock

  • 00:46 what atv is???

  • it's KTM XC 450 or 500 or 525

  • 525 xc

  • if u want pro-tuned suspension and tire comprresion follow these instructions...

FRONT SUSPENSION.. Thread preload down three threads from stock.

REAR SUSPENSION.. Stock preload two clicks on compression.

TIRE COMPRRESIONS.. For dunes:5 PSI all 4 tires For Dirt: 5.5 PSI all around (all 4 tires)

  • go raptor who wants a rear independant suspension in a sport quad

  • who doesnt?

  • Um, you didn't even watch the video. This is not the independent suspension version.

  • ha ha ha ive seen outlaws take down raptors

  • my 09 brand new took a banshee yesterday

  • have u raced a yfz 450 yet?

  • yeah a yfz with the yamaha pipe they make for aftermarket, gtr or something? it had a filter on it too and a jet kit and some other minor bolt ons, i beat it by quite a bit, the outlaw is a fast bike if you know how to drive youll smoke about anything, i lost to a quadzilla 500 (obviously , but not by that much by 2 bike lengths .. 500cc 2stroke vs 510cc 4 stroke thought i was gonna get annihilated). its a solid bike but it dont like to start hot when its in gear and hard to find neutral

  • i want a 08 outlaw or 07. i have an outlander 400 : / i like it buttt its a utlity and u cant ride them like i want to ride. i want a outlaw or yfz so bad. and those quadzillas r crazy i see y u lost

  • lol ur full of it the yfz is efi it dose not have jets

  • oh im sorry .. you must have confused the new yfz with the other carbed model they've been making for i dunno .. 5 years?

  • well u didnt say the year.

  • i thought it was rather obvious really considering if you put each model year in a hat thered be a less then 10% chance youd pick out a efi one

  • @leafsrule16 Hah! Good one! LOL!

  • thanks man .. youtube idiots these days..

  • Blaaa,ha,ha,owned...Nice man..

  • Does it do better then Raptor 700

  • In stock trim it is faster in a straight line. Add a power commander and an exhaust system to the Raptor and it turns into a monster. The Raptor has better suspension and ergonomics but is heavier. The Polaris is faster but the Raptor is more refined.

  • Cool thanks. Im trying to get a Raptor 700, maybe 2009 model.

  • dont get a ds450x they are the shit

  • I would go with the outlaw IRS they are much more faster than the raptors

  • how does the rappy have better suspension?!! outlaw comes with fox float shocks!

  • The Outlaw does not have Float shocks, it has Fox Podium X shocks. The fronts are only preload adjustable and the rear is fully adjustable. The Raptor's suspension is far more adjustable and is plusher over smaller to medium size hits. Thats the difference.

  • oops your right my bad, i think the outlaws is better.

  • coukd i fit any shock to my outlaw if the brackets fit?

  • I have the 07 IRS 525. It performs great in the sand and I whip most all the raptors and 450's, and in the trails no comparison. What am I missing with the Solid axle other than 25 pounds less weight. Wouldn't the irs have performed much better on the terrain for this video.

  • on flat or off camber corners, the solid rear axle machine is a bit more stable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you cant corner faster then your friend's solid rear axle machine,i'm saying that with two equal riders on both machines the S is easier to corner faster. Of course on rocks roots and ruts the IRS has an advantage. Of course it is fast as hell too!

  • Thx I switched my intake out to EHSracing air lid and K&N. J.D. jetkit and FMF 4.1 full titanium system. Its good. I do feel disadvantaged in the whoops, but I haven't tried to adjust the shocks because Im not really sure what Im doing. Suggestions? Also I run NO2X, I was told it runs cooler and cleaner?

  • the rider is like pro
