  • Nice Jodan trying, Korean Kendoka! Um... I think almost everyone is talking about Shodai, Kenji Sensei. I agree that Shodai Sensei is the Best Jodan Player (he has practiced Jodan more than 13 years), and he will be stronger than that Korean Jodan Player. However, Shodai Sensei became a Best Jodan Player through passing a struggling time (like that Korean Jodan Kenshi). How did I know that fact? I met and talked with him last year when he visited our Kendo Dojo, and he is very nice Sensei! ^^

  • Ummm, wtf is wrong with Brazil guy doing? I want to see Japan vs Korea but of course we will get own but still i want to see it.

  • 韓国と北朝鮮と中国はただの使い捨ての道具にしかすぎない奴隷だ!!!

  • 韓国がやってるのは剣道ではない。土人が棒を持って奇声を上げているだけ。

  • Such elegant kendo

  • When my opponent goes to jodan, I change my chudan to left foot forward.

  • Wow, That short guys crazy!!

  • Yeah! Jodan!! Love that stance. ;)

  • Very nice jodan. Much more elegant than that of Kenji Shoudai. The next video between him and the japanese kenshi is also fantastic. Someone knows his name (the korean kenshi's)? Great post!

  • Forgot to mention: Awsome, nearly perfect, hiki men at 1:28

    and

Awsome katate tsukis, and lots of them, in the next video.

  • Hong-Gyun Jang the announcer says. 185 cm tall. a teacher.

  • Haha, this guys jodan sux compared to kenji shodais Jodan. No offence to this Korea player or anything, but hes not even comparable.

  • Kenji Shoudai's footwork is full of flaws. Not saying his kendo is not efficient, but his bunny-hop-like fumikomi and footwork makes it look goofy. This korean kenshi, on the other hand, has a superb kigurai, all supported by a very elegant and powerful footwork.

  • @ZaMoogleSamurai Can you do it better than Sensei Shoudai??? I dont think so

  • The kenshi from Brazil is Oscar Hayashi!

  • O lutador brasileiro, segundo a narração, pelo que entendi é o Oscar Hayashi.

The brazillian kenshi maybe is Oscar Hayashi.

"WKC 1988 - Brasil 3° LUGAR - VII Torneio Mundial em Seul - Coréia.

Atletas: Nelson Murakawa, Oscar Hayashi, Yoshimi Kudo, Roberto Kishikawa e Jorge Kishikawa" - from Wikipedia
