  • Wow there are a lot of ignorant comments and gross generalizations on this post.

Don't need no stinkin' Sheriffs? Then welcome federalized policing (MILITARY) or anarchy. The Sheriff's Office is the oldest policing force in the United States. It IS our history. No Sheriffs? Then meet all those criminals that are being guarded in jail by Sheriff's Deputies. More people die in motor vehicle accidents than die by gun violence (Nearly 4x: ~40000 to ~10000). This is why LEOs enforce traffic regs.

  • is ok with mexicans leaving the fields a lot a positions are opening

  • Does Bakersfield require 500 sheriffs (not deputies)?

Could other Bakersfield's civil jobs be eliminated, especially supervisory and director jobs?

How does pension of retired Bakersfield civil servants play into the expenses of Bakersfield?

  • 500 sheriffs Layoff....."GOOD!".....500 less "TYRANTS" in America to enforce rich law :-)

  • This is how you get crime off the streets, Cut 500 Sheriffs!!! Bakfd can't afford to give 2 week paid vacation every time one of these assholes shots someone!!! Bakfd Law enforcement think their GOD, and you the law abiding citizen, should bow down to them!!!!

  • @24601Robert dam right

  • This is how you get crime off the streets, Cut 500 Sheriffs!!! Bakfd can't afford to give 2 week paid vacation every time one of these assholes shots someone!!! Bakfd Law enforcement think their GOD and you the law abiding citizen should bow down to them!!!!

  • good, i am happy they laid off the worthless pigs. they are no help to citizens unless you enjoy being ticketed and having your rights violated.

  • I am not a big fan of law enforcement...it is my opinion that they are overpaid and there are too many of them..the first thing that needs to be done to stop this ever expanding government is to start cutting police pay, teacher pay, fireman pay...etc....we will be fine without most of these people......let them make $45,000 like the rest of the average folk in america

  • good we dont need no stinkn sherrifs .....revenue collectors

  • yessss fire all the pigs!!! we need freedom in the damm streets!! we cant even walk around the hood witout being checked for drugs or shit like that... always questioning us witout us doing nothin... yessssssssss peace out dude u should go find a better job

  • @TheDoninva -i live in kern county where bakersfield is at and it not 500 its like 100 deputies were ladied off now thank god they are rehiring. if you think law enforcement dont do anything i sugjest you go sing up for a RIDE-ALONG that way you can see everything they do. to have a safe country there has to be 1 peace officer for every 6 people but the people do not want to do that instead there are 1 officer for about 75,000-100,000 people and take the law in your hands you will be robed more

  • Do not turn in your gun. Defend to republic. We must all uphold the US constitution and Bill of Rights. We also have the 9th and 10th amendment

  • Ca is my home state, and it is in a precarious situation, with crippling debt and a large percentage of people dependent on government, just like in the LA Riots, all the gun haters could find themselves in a very, very, dire situation if the welfare checks ever run dry. I consider it to be a sort of karmic justice :)

  • Just want to add my 2 cents to the crime in California...

I just moved to eastern washington state from Sacramento. One of my budies has been concidering getting a handgun for a few years, had not done so due to his little ones. But all of a sudden just a few months ago someone broke into their house, so what did he do...he talked over with the wife and got himself his two new best friends, S&W in .40. My self just in the last 2 years been broken into twice in Cali... is bad out there..

  • prick laughed at me and called me a punk and told me "this whole med. marijuana thing will be going away real soon". Because he felt like i deserved to go to jail for under half of a gram of pot, i made the decision to post bail cuz i couldn't bear the thought of being in jail when my father passed. I ended up beating the bs charge w/ my public defender. Just one ex. of how these "public servants" are doing a great job....they're a part of the problem, not the solution.

  • searchlight in your face, which is dangerous and rude as hell. I was taking care of my father in 2008 while he was dying from cancer and my girlfriend got pulled over for a taillight. For no good reason they searched the car and found a small amount of med. pot which i had on me and had a legal dr's. prescription for. The asshole sheriff arrested me anyways. I told him that I was the primary caretaker for my father and that i would appear at my court date and was in no way a flight risk. That

  • I was born and raised in Bakersfield and I still live here. With the exception of maybe a handful of officers in our community, bksfd police, sheriffs, probation, etc. are a bunch of sorry excuses for human beings. They think they are above the law and can do whatever they want. The sheriff's department is famous for putting decals on their cruisers that say "we'll kick your ass". They harass people for no reason all the time. If you are driving your car at night they will often shine their

  • The way the police treat people they make more criminals than they stop they are in a drug business to they will arrest competition That's why we have so many drug people in jail, when they put those two border patrol guys in jail that should tell America that from the president down is in a drug business. As long as we got that drug war we will never have peace in this country money in the drug business as there is in the old business, so fire most police and will have less crime

  • and let me guess, of course the sheriffs that defend the constitution/are oathkeepers/do not want america to be taken over by the one world government completely are the ones being laid off.

wake up people of the world america with its constitutions is the last hope of freedom for us all, support all patriots.

BUSH AND OBAME AND CLINTON ETC are CRIMINALS and work for even bigger CRIMINAL. they are taking away all of our liberties, WAKE UP PEOPLE stop fighting each other FREEDOM for us all

  • Everyone is guilty in both parties, except Ron Paul. He has been trying to shed light on the Fed since 1983. Don't blame me I voted for him and I haven't stopped working for CampaignForLIberty since. There are THOUSANDS of local Ron Pauls running EVERYWHERE:

  • You have valid points.

  • Bakersfield is Heavily armed In a good way. We are Pro Law Enforcement.. The County respects the second amend right.

    NRA

  • Yes Sir.

  • You know, everytone is quick to bitch on how bad it is out here. Make yourself useful and instead of bitching, think of how we can solve this problem.

  • Well maybe the drug lords will get even richer then they will be forced to legalize drugs. Prohibition ended when the depression of the 20s got really bad!

  • @ Rockynurse

You just can't wait to get fucked on those drugs, are you?

  • I don't use any illegal drugs. I don't use vulgar swear words either. The drug war will never be won though. I am glad they got rid of some police. Police are more of a parasite than drug users. People will always use drugs no matter how illegal drugs are! If they are very illegal then police get paid good salaries to reach an unreachable goal.

Police don't deserve my tax dollars! Most crime is a direct result of the drug war. The demand for drugs is inelastic how can you win?

  • @ Rockynurse

Thats a very stupid concept you have there. I don't use drugs and I live a very good life style. But I live in neighborhood infested with ms13 and other gangs. So if there would be no police will you come to my rescue, will you come to my resque? I don't think so. Thank you very much.

  • Actually Jeffrey Miron a Harvard Economist agrees with me. MS13 would be gone in a year if drugs were legalized. Things must get worse before they get better.

  • we can protect ourselves. the police arent very good about cutting crime here anyways, look at the gang problem.. Let us arm ourselves, protect ourselves, and defend ourselves how it was intended. As far as welfare, who cares

  • Ashkanazi's Kazar's chickens are comming home to roost.

  • of course they need to make these cuts! hahaha! they are spending in deficit trying to keep all these victimless crimes enforced. When are people going to realize that it's all these bullshit laws that are fucking everything up. We can't afford this war on drugs. It's only increasing crime and prison populations and redistributing wealth to criminals in the form of dealers and drug companies. :)

    9/11 was an inside job!

replace peace and love for your fear and hate :)

  • @ qweqqweqbt

Oh, shut up the fuck up, liberal bitch.

  • dude, how long ago did i make the comment u don't like? i dont' even see it! hahaha! hmmm, i'm sorry if you're easily offended or scared by ideas and words.

i think 9/11 was an inside job. i'm not sure, but it seems like it was to me. what do u think about that? :)

  • Liberals talk about educating thugs, you have to cuff them and make them split big rocks into little rocks!

  • man fuk any body who tries to rob me or come in my house im my own police where i come from we sleep with our guns their always by our sides and ready to use and i still roll like that even here in bakersfield but you would never know it .

  • Ya know SafeArms review, I don't know if you worked in law enforcement. I worked in the county morgue in the seventies. Every weekend, it was like a motel we packed em in. I'll admitt it was just Gun Violence, but that was over 50% of non natural deaths.

This was at time before while they still had plenty of cops. When the cops are gone it will be a madhouse. Think maybe the morgue in Baghdad, LOL.

    It will be interesting.

  • Bit of irony here, Cops laid off. Hmmm now these arrogant assholes can see what's it like to have no money, no power. Just a number.

When they were flush with money they were locking people up for small time drug offense's.Now there is no money. Oh well time reevaluate your F@#king priorities. Like violent crimes & stop with your obession with Scofflaws.

That makes me happy, Cops with no jobs. BooHoo.

  • ya man tell me about it was trying to get into LA County Sheriffs and they were only hiring mainly females and then tried to go to North county(san diego) they are only hiring people with BA because of the job market is getting alot of people with college degrees and me mister joe smo with a AA is left in the dust with the freeze CA is almost destroyed.

  • hahaha just move out of bakers its a city infested gangs the first day i moved to bakersfield , like 2 years ago my father warn me to lock my car door and that same night some niggers stole my stereo ,is a city with no jobs, bunch of illegals. fill with smoke ,cannot breath, thank god i only lasted a year there, now i'm back in oregon ,its sad to loose a year of your life ,and by the way happy that i got out of the communist state of california where carrying a nail clipper is a felony,

  • This is going to hurt all the donut shops.

  • I feel soooooo safe lol ) :

  • They want local law enforcement to die and federal to take over. Bank owned police.

  • Very informative. Thank you, SAR.

  • shefff yougblood si full of crap .the only thing they have cut if there over time hours .but teachers have been getting pink slips . and one school has been closed and all teachers laid off as well as the bus drivers ..we see more cops in bakersfield .and there messing with every homeless person they see ..you can bet that if they get rid of any it will be the few good ones we have .most are crooks..when we did vote for teachers funds .the cops where on the same bill..WE SHOLD START OVER .

  • 500 different kind of gangs are now heading to bakersfield ca haaaaaaaahh

  • Good. Too many cops anyway.

  • People dont realize in the wild west there was one sheriff and when he needed to apprehend a criminal, he would deputize citizens to help him!

  • Yes but only after a background check, a psych test, oh and a polygraph. Maybe a interview first. Then another 9 months do the background and.......lolz.

  • You can't have a small amount of cops and restrictive gun laws. Something has to give on one of the sides. Crime will go rampant through the roof if this goes through and they retain their strict gun laws.

  • Are there any illegal immigrants in Colorad? Chicago is a sancturary city, and they are all over the place... I would an illegal immigrant if they are on the waiting list...

  • Comment removed

  • now i only have a high school education

and never been good at math but let me see if I can get this equation right

release of 30,000 prisoners+laying off of law enforcement= disaster

  • You are ignoring the fact that use of hard drugs will lead to the loss of many lives, of both the users, & innocent non-users alike. You are also ignoring the economic impact that legalizing hard drugs will have, in terms of increased theft,& decreased productivity.

Let's look at 1 of your analogies - alcohol. Yes, some people suffer alcoholism, but the vast majority of users do NOT. Conversely, people can become addicted to crack after a single use, & with repeated use, it is 100% addictive.

  • You're argument that theft would cease if legalization occurred, (again we are talking about hard drugs here, and not marijuana), is absurd. Prices might be lowered if drugs were legalized, meaning only that the number of addicts would increase, again raising the price. Once someone is addicted to these hard drugs, they lose all concern for their appearance, for their personal and job responsibilities, and become fixated solely on the drug. Meaning, that they will be unemployed in short order.

  • >meaning only that the number of addicts would increase, again raising the price.

Ah, like how when there are lots of people that eat, say, wheat all the time, the price of wheat skyrockets!

It's called the free market. Supply goes down, prices go up. Profits encourage new supply -- people go into the business of making the commodity. Prices go down! As far as crystal meth is concerned, I think you can imagine the supply could be unlimited, on an industrial scale. Ditto marijuana.

  • >Once someone is addicted to these hard drugs, they lose all concern for their appearance

Again I'd like to ask you, why is this any of your business?

  • >and job responsibilities, and become fixated solely on the drug.

Sounds like alcoholism. I suppose you'd like to outlaw alcohol too!

Remember, as I've mentioned before, we tried that. It created massive organized crime. Rum running and all.

This debate is pointless. The government is collapsing, and with it the War On Drugs. The prisons won't be able to operate, all these crazy addicts are going to be on the streets anyway. Better get used to it.

  • So...fewer cops is a bad thing? I don't get it.

War On Drugs creates the "criminals". Decriminalize drugs, allow them to be bought in drug stores over the counter, and guess what? Crime vanishes. No more need to steal to get money for a fix.

Back to the cops -- they're just traffic enforcement goons anyway. I'll take my chances in a cop-free society any day.

  • Notice how there is never any talk about issuing CCW's to private citizens or deputizing more volunteers ?

There are plenty of qualified volunteers, but that would compete with the Police Unions, they behave in the same exact manner as private workers union, although paid with public funds.

Bakersfield has to cut off some fat, there foreclosure rate/tax base is horrible, it's either firing some employees, or issuing draconian tax increases- essentially economic cannibalism.

  • Fewer cops is a very bad thing because at the same time these layoffs are taking place, over 50,000 prisoners are going to be released into the community to ease prison overpopulation.

Decriminalizing hard drugs would be an incredibly foolish idea. Crystal meth and Crack cocaine users would surely bust in whatever remaining windows you have, following the massive prisoner release, either because they're spaced out, or looking to finance their next fix.

  • >Decriminalizing hard drugs would be an incredibly foolish idea.

Yeah, well the War On Drugs is blatantly unconstitutional. I'll take my chances with Freedom instead of believing in The Boogey Man, as you paint the picture.

Someone breaks in my window trying to get a fix, he'll get a face full of buckshot. But it's his body, he can do what he wants.

  • Have you seen people on crystal meth or crack cocaine? People on crystal meth are completely insane and wouldn't hesitate to kill you. People on crack cocaine will literally crap their pants to get more drug.

People on hard drugs will commit the most heinous crimes to get more product. Legalizing them would lead to a groundswell of new users, which our crumbling social systems and parent-less homes would be unable to deal with.

  • >Have you seen people on crystal meth or crack cocaine?

I would ask you the same question? Does your assertion come from direct, personal experience, or are you just parroting someone else's propaganda.

Another question: Have you actually used any illegal narcotics? As strange as it may seem, in my life I've actually used a few myself. I've tried crystal meth even, just snorting it. I've never injected anything. What you describe is more propaganda than anything else.

  • >People on hard drugs will commit the most heinous crimes to get more product.

While we're on the subject, have you heard that tobacco is highly addictive? I mean it is perhaps the most addictive drug known to man.

But...when was the last time you heard of a person committing a heinous crime in order to get his "fix" of tobacco -- be it cigarettes or chewing tobacco?

You (and America) need to step back from the War On Drugs and take good, hard stock of Reality. It's worse than useless.

  • I don't presume it is my right to tell other people what they can do with their body. I believe it is an individual's right to take whatever drug they want.

If some drugs lead to chaotic society, as you describe (and which I would debate even), so be it. Once they violate someone else's rights they've committed a crime. Deal with it then.

Don't construct this ridiculous, unconstitutional monstrosity just on the off chance that people might not be able to deal with drugs.

    Remember Prohibition?

  • The comparisons & analogies that you're making border line on the insane. Yes, I have worked with persons suffering the ill effects of addictions, and can say, unequivocally that drugs not only ruined their lives, but the lives of those around them. The majority had committed a variety of crimes, including assault and theft - break & enter, armed robbery etc.

These hard drugs physically alter the brain and pose a great risk to society as a whole.

  • >The comparisons & analogies that you're making border line on the insane.

It's funny how you ignore any counter arguments I might make. You seem to have already made up your mind, you seem to be completely content absorbing the propaganda.

One more time, and I won't repeat this again. If drugs were legal, they'd be cheap. And it wouldn't be necessary to steal in order to pay for them.

    >reat risk to society as a whole.

Um, this is just propaganda. You really buy into that crap, don't you?

  • Right, propaganda. Tell that to the many addicts who robbed from their own families, or even killed to get drugs. I've seen people in the down town core, with brown stains up their pants - a common sight I was told as crack addicts were known to shit themselves thinking about a fix. I've seen them running in between moving cars on a busy street - weaving in and out of traffic because they dropped a dime bag. No, it's you who is spouting the propaganda. I look at the real outcomes.

  • >I look at the real outcomes.

I have a question for you.

Why is it any of your business if someone else kills himself?

  • Lovely. I can't wait for the freaks to rob my house.

  • Oh and yes once law enforcementt is not able to patrol like they should the roaches will come out to kill, steal and destroy. It takes a filty good for nothing spawn of satan to steal another's property and inflick harm on the innocent.

  • Really! Give the American taxpayers the 787 billion dollars. Spread it around to us!. We'll stimulate the economy. We'll pay off our own houses. We'll buy new vehicles and digital TVs. We PROMISE we will buy only AMERICAN made stuff. :-P

  • BTW m previous comment does not apply to the Black ass comments. Excuse me Black Mask. Fuck you sir. I know of your kind. The news as well as our streets are full of you BLACKMASKED assholes. What is going on here is a reduction in public law enforcement which is still sort of accountable to the public and an increase in recruitment through TERRORISTS such as your self into private law enforcement. What an oxymoron. You fucking vigilantes in uniform have no business enforcing anything.

  • Comment removed

  • Well said. Period.

  • If there are any law enforcement officer that are being laid off and are under 37 and are unable to find a job send me a pm.

If you don't already know there is an agency that is hiring and need a lot of honest officers and pays well.

  • Heres something to think about. What do you think all of these law enforcement people will be doing now that they are unemployed and desperate?.....Armed,trained on how to physically and mentally intimidate people and full of criminal connections....Hmmmm.

  • well most law enforcement I know are honest and hard working.

If the guys and gals I work with were unemployed they would get whatever job they could to support their family (dig ditches, work fast food, etc).

as for implying these ppl would break the law, that is possible, but for the ppl I work with, being an honest law abiding citizen goes beyond the job and is an everyday thing.

  • @SafeArmsReview ok, are you talking military police because they are NOT regular cops by any means and pretty much ALL of regular cops are complete douche bags and are far from hardworking...that was laughable.

  • Well there are agencies in california that are hiring and need to hire a lot of officers.

  • @bar730 I hope a year has given you some wisdom......But I doubt it.

  • Now with the turn in the economy home values dropped so much that now majority of people are upside down in mortgages and loosing theyre homes. Reason why Bakersfield is if im correct the 5th city in entire country with most forclosures

  • wow I didnt know that.

  • Im from Bakersfield Ca myself and will say your 100% correct about our housing market. You had homes that were worth say $150,000 dollars and then out of no where they were worth $300,000 to $400,000 and people didnt know how to properly protect themselves. Alot of people refinanced and instead of putting money aside or maybe at least invest money to update homes they blew it on brand new car or boat or fancy vacations.

  • 500 sherriffs layed off? There goes Martial Law out the window.

  • actually martial law has historically been enforced by the military & not by local law enforcement.

    thats a disturbing thot eh?

    :)

  • Nope, police are enforced or else there will be a low number. Remeber, the amount of people in the military can not control 300 million. It's not like we live in a nation with 200,000 military personals with a population of 3 million. nope,

  • @SafeArmsReview - if all law enforcement officers were to get layed of then we will be seeing martial law take affect when riots break out and it was like 100 deputies that got layed of and now thankgod they are rehiring

  • Moving to IN in 3 weeks... can't wait to get out of this pathetic socialist / nanny state.

You're nailed it... the sheeple are stupid, naive and ignorant as can be. As long as they have reality tv and dancing with the stars they are happy. They're about to take it up the ass and they don't even know it.

I have gold, silver, food, water, my Mossy 12 gauge and about 500 shells of 00buck. I'm physically and mentally prepared for what is about to happen.

    Bring it on!

  • desperate people will do desperate things when they have no other option ... even an honest man will steal if hungry enough ... too many are totally dependent on the nanny state ... when the nanny state fails and their check don't show up they will not be capable of working a plan "B" ... you will start seeing very desperate people, very soon ... its 1936 Germany in the US now ... the brown shirts are being organized ... get ready, its coming ... no stopping it now ...

  • Good video, my friend.

When the Fed artificially messes with the natural economic cyclical interests rates this is what happens.

Couple that with peeps like Barney Frank and the rest stickin their hands into something they do not understand then this just makes a bad situation worse.

The Federal Reserve needs to be abolished and people need to wake up and real quick like.

And the govt needs to keep their meddling fingers out of the economy. They have no clue as to how our economy works.

  • Yikes! Safety is at risk, time to make sure we can protect ourselves...

  • 500 sheriff deputies? WOW! That's going to be scary.

  • 2009 2010? Your crazy this is about to go down MAX next 30 days!! Hell Maybe even this weekend are you paying attention to the synthetic CDS's? whoa buddy hold on to your pants!

  • Iit depends on how u defines 'crash' & how many it will effect. I think most ppl are ignorant to what is going on, hence the delay of a crash.

We still have not seen the bond market crash/bailout, other countries dumping the U.S. $ for other currencies &/or gold/silver, or wide spread bank closures/bank runs, double digit unemployment in the majority of the states, etc.

Many thot the $ crash would be in feb 09 but again lots more has to happen, hence the delay; but thats just my opinion.

  • see what play money and criminals in office breed..? hire people to go through the subprime housing loan applications and jail the ones that financed houses that they KNEW would not be able to be repayed..

  • I guess with this housing bubble, people getting all this credit on speculating house value really gives meaning to those go borrowing will go a sorrowing. Also dont count your beans before you get them. :0

  • Thank you, well said. Cutting those in charge of public safety in the midst of this declining economy will invite crime. Under those conditions, people will be forced to take the law into their own hands. That combination will usher in an era of curfews, an increased police state, militarized zones, and martial law...The Communists have co-opted our government and we are entering a very dark time. Hang on. Great video, right on the mark brother.

Your friend in liberty and oppression,

    robpatozz

  • California is only the begining of the wave, this will domino from coast to coast. So just cause your not in cali, don't think your safe. You just have a few more weeks to wait. and the momentum will build.

  • we need to take good notes on what is going on right now, we need to document aqll of the problems, and how they became problems, its easier to do that right now while we can observe it. use those notes fix things when time comes to do that.

  • Yes, It's painful for all of us. Nation wide.

  • DAMN!!!...I love the truth..great vid!!

  • I have been watch your vid's for awile, and you and endtime and martin and some others are NOT looking well. You guy's need to take care of yourselves,Please we need all of you. Watch your food, water or meds what ever it is stop doing it.

    Thanks

  • good vid...

but use you mind, your family, your neighbours, your location, your home, your common sense, your community, to protect your family .....not guns!!!

  • Even with common sense, community, and family, the only insurance of protections is guns, no offense.

  • What?? This is a different world. I don't believe in going on the attack, but numerous people will. Please don't fall for the no gun reasoning, that will set you up as a victim and put your family in a position to not protect themselves. Responsible gun ownership is just another tool for you to use only when the situation demands its use. Good Luck in the future, with whatever you decide.

  • Thanks for the compliment, but I exercise my 2nd amendment right because I do care so much for my family and neighbors (most of which do not have any weapons). You see I look at the possible obstacles and make plans to mitigate those problem areas.

For those that are bent on violence against me and my family, common sense tells me to be prepared for the worst. With that said the use of a gun is a LAST resort.

Again I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

    :)

  • If someone threatens my family; I DO want to hurt them.

  • Keep up the good work!

  • With 60,000 inmates being let out early, you wouldn't want to make them uncomfortable by having cops on the streets would you?

    :^)
