  • Thats right, Al Blake, Fred Kaplan Larry Taylor and Richard Innes all was more or less part of the Hollywood Blue flames and the Hollywood Fats band. I belive it was Al Blake leading those bands. Also all of the guys playing here have been playing with al the great blues heros like William Clarke, Kim Wilson, Rod Piazza and many others.

  • I was cruising through some subscriptions, not really paying attention to what the vids were. So many bands out there, so few that can pull off the sound that the old Fats Band could create. Then I looked down and thought, "Wow, these guys have something going on." As I listened a little more, it was Al that I heard. After I sent you that note and listened again, I did a little work and figured out it was basically the old band. How cool is that? Thanks for posting it.

  • Wait - is this Al Blake, from the orginal Fats band?

  • Where are these guys from? They are a lot like the early Thunderbirds - in the Jimmy V. days- straight blues, no frills. . And, they do carry that Fats dynamic - piano, harp and guitar.

  • @Paneedrabbit It's not only Al also Fred Kaplan on piano, Larry Taylor on bass, Richard Innes on Drums The entire Fats band with Kid Ramos on guitar.
