Finally saw the fight, had it 116-112 for Chisora, though some of the rounds I gave to Chisora, the British announcers gave to Helenius, at least three of those rounds, and I had Helenius winning the last round. I had Chisora winning the 8th through the 11th.

Chisora looked good at times but in the end he was out pointed by Helenius - I scored it 7 rounds to 4 for Helenius with 1 round even. People need to realize that the judges don't score punches that land on the gloves and arms of a fighter, as did most of Chisora's right hooks to the head. Also, Chisore lead with his head the entire fight and was warned 6 times by the ref! At 3 there is supposed to be 1 point taken away; this ref was useless. In the end Helenius wins a close decision.
@troyez I scored it 115-113 for Helenius. Very close fight. Chisora has a clearly superior jab, in fact, Helenius' jab is frankly horrible. But Helenius had a superior defense and also landed the harder punches. I don't agree on the criticism of the ref. The head clashes were not intentional and were going to happen given the height differential and Chisora's constant forward movement. I don't think he deserved to lose a point. If Helenius could develop a real jab, he'd be ready now.
According to boxing insider, Helenius broke his right hand in the first round, which would explain his lack of power in this fight (if anyone questions it, watch his last 5 fights).

Compubox doesn't score punches landed on the gloves and arms either and Compubox stats had Chisora landing 278/672 at 41% and Helenius landing 140/647 at 22%. They landed the same amount of jabs which means Chisora landed around 150 more power punches. Not only this, but Chisora was the boss in terms of pace and ring generalship. Wasn't even a close fight.

What a rip-off! Chisora controlled the action for most of the fight, and by the 9th round Helenius was backing up and could hardly punch. I scored this 6 rounds Chisora, 4 round Helenius and 2 rounds even. I'd like to see a rematch in a NEUTRAL country.

To: peetuj. Im an american and dont say the HW division sucks, but its lacking. It has nothing to do with american hw's. The smaller weight classes that are on top are not ran by americans either. Theres just not that many good fighters. There are two elite lever boxers (the klitschkos) and theres a bunch of B rated fighters who have to hope the klitschkos are having an off night.

@leoseries57 Nah Chisora is quite good he has good head movement and has a good defence,the big probem in the Fury v Chisora fight was hat Chisora never bothered to train,he was out on his feet after 4 rounds.The probelm is always the same with Chisora its all about whether he can be arsed getting in shape.Fury has a suspect chin with a terrible defensive game,he also is ''flabby'' but i suppose is young.Helenious is just average but right now he'd beat Fury.

This was a very even fight and could have been a draw also but anyway Chisora didn't win the fight. Even though Chisora threw more punches than Helenius most of those punches landed to Heleniuses guard.
Best way to solve this so called "robbery" would be a rematch. In a rematch Heleniuses right hand would be hopefully ok so that he could box properly with both hands.

helenius may have lost, but vitali is fighting chisora because if he ko's chisora, which he will, then helenius will know he has to continue to build his record before he steps up to fight the klits, helenius needs to build his stamina and get in better shape...i see helenius staying undefeated topping tyson fury (bogus heavyweight) topping dimitrenko (another bogus heavyweight) and possibly fight seth mitchell before he takes on one of the klits...if he's in shape i feel he can stun wlad!

I had it 6-4 and 2 rounds even for Chisora. If you gave EVERY close round to Helenius...I could see 115-113 for him, but that's a BIG if. They fought in his home country so that explains a lot. Look forward to the rematch, but Chisora impressed me by taking punches 3 former champs couldn't from Helenius. It was an action-filled fight and one of the best heavyweight fights in years. Too many one-sided blowouts from the Klitschkos have left the division bereft of exciting, meaningful fights.

Chisora looked good at times but in the end he was out pointed by Helenius - I scored it 7 rounds to 4 for Helenius with 1 round even. People need to realize that the judges don't score punches that land on the gloves and arms of a fighter, as did most of Chisora's right hooks to the head. Also, Chisore lead with his head the entire fight and was warned 6 times by the ref! At 3 there is supposed to be 1 point taken away; this ref was useless. In the end Helenius wins a close decision.

@troyez I scored it 115-113 for Helenius. Very close fight. Chisora has a clearly superior jab, in fact, Helenius' jab is frankly horrible. But Helenius had a superior defense and also landed the harder punches. I don't agree on the criticism of the ref. The head clashes were not intentional and were going to happen given the height differential and Chisora's constant forward movement. I don't think he deserved to lose a point. If Helenius could develop a real jab, he'd be ready now.

@troyez agree a lot of chisora's punches were landing on arms and gloves but the aggression was definitely unsettling and tiring helenius. Plus chisora was the far better body puncher throughout the fight, scoring time and again down there.
would LOVE to know how you found 7 rounds where helenius was landing with clean punches!? That is ridiculous. Neither fighter was clean with their work so you go to the aggressor (chisora,) better mover (chisora,) and fresher (chisora.)

Compubox doesn't score punches landed on the gloves and arms either and Compubox stats had Chisora landing 278/672 at 41% and Helenius landing 140/647 at 22%. They landed the same amount of jabs which means Chisora landed around 150 more power punches. Not only this, but Chisora was the boss in terms of pace and ring generalship. Wasn't even a close fight.
