i really like your work, i would like a tut btw, let me try to give you some advice, hope u apreciate it ^ ^ 1.- the rasengan should give the impression of chaos, as the chakra is forced to the condensation would be advisable to do it more notorious. 2.-  there should be chakra waves spinning around, I saw several attempts of Rasengan, chakra should be spinning in one direction as this is how it condenses

Last i remember Rasenga was made up of air not a blue ball

@windrunnerdaniel Rasengan IS blue because chakra is blue in it's physical and raw form. The Rasengan is the high concentration of molding chakra into a spiraling sphere (i.e. shape transformation). Now there is the Wind release: Rasengan, which is the Rasengan combined with Wind Nature. I think you may be referring to that version which is the completed Rasengan.

I have to say this looks 10x more awesome then any rasengan i've seen on here so far. I love the pulse it makes, and how it originates like an atom adds a really cool effect, slow at first, then fast. Kind of makes me think of a transformers spark. Did you use particle world with a vortex motion in AE and then just mask a circle, put a solid in the middle and mask that with a glow effect? This is just a guess but thats how I think you made this. Could look better with some optical flares in it!

@BornFlunky I've never seen any of the official colored images with it being blue. Apparently there's a bunch of hubbub about what color chakras are supposed to be in general, but in the manga they specifically say that Naruto felt a "yellow" when someone asked him (Jaraiya? I don't remember) to describe his chakra. If you google images "Naruto volume 52 cover"  it will show you a yellow rasengan. Totally blew my mind when I figured it out ^^"

@icohornedboy Hm, fair enough, I suppose, though I admit I hadn't seen it. I know that there was a Shonen Jump cover that depicted the Rasen Shuriken as blue, during the Pain Arc. And I'm also fairly sure that the anime is overseen by the manga crew. I could be wrong, I guess(?), but it seems logical.

Regardless, I am curious and shall look into this. =P

I think it needs to be more scratchy or wild, it has a rather... hmm, harder shape or texturized look to it? The Rasengan is supposed to be a condensed ball of seriously powerful chakra, so try to work around that idea.

@meeplem yes, i would even say.. it should not be a perfect sphere but an unstable ball .. which needs to be kept under control :D
