@YourMomsLikeWHOA No, this is just a copycat recipe to achieve the same (or almost the same) taste. I am sure their recipe is a lot more complicated with more ingredients...some of them I have no idea how to pronounce!

I have always loved candy corn with peanuts... you could mix the two and make payday bars...I guess. Pam

do you put the bars in the fridge for the chocolate to harden or just let it sit?

@AVmakeup If you use the kind I did then it hardens instantly. I haven't worked with anything else yet. I don't see anything wrong with putting it in the fridge though : )

Could you actually use a hand mixer for the mixing the candy corn and peanut butter?

@AprilC31 The mixture gets hard really fast so I'm not sure a mixer would help much plus it may be hard to remove the candy from the mixing pieces.

@MsMomma84 Check your store, They have Almond butter.. Same as peanut butter, but with out the peanuts. I hope this helps :o)

@mazzystar131 Walmart has candy corn year round for a dollar a bag. Check out the candy section where the baggies are hanging from hooks (butterscotch, peppermint, spice drops section) and they will be there.
