I also saw the Police at a German gig in 78.. I think. It was at the end of Punk and the Krouts at the front were gobbing at Sting. He got quite pissed off and was going to jump into the front row ot sort them out... he never did though. I was around the time of the release of Quadrophenia and I think Sting thought he was abit of an hard case!
Nope, sorry I'm American. Wish I had been born in England though. :-) You're right about Sting. There's a concert from 1980 in Paris where some guy threw mud at Sting and Sting was furious. He said something like..."the cunt who threw the mud at me, I'll rip his fucking arms off". :-) What was funnier is he kept cursing and pointing at this guy during the entire next song which happened to be Da do do do. It was really pretty amusing. Cheers.
I understand what you mean. I would definitely miss the California sunshine. We only have earthquakes and mudslides to worry about here. Oh and gang violence and rude assholes and superficial morons and horrible traffic. :-) Other than that it's quite nice. The one time I was in London it pretty much rained the entire time and that was in the spring! :-)
