GAH! why spend so much money and then you leave your case in such a mess, tidy up those cables man! that's just an eye sore, and not really worth all that camera work.
@nicolas11x12tech I have the same Mobo and the same cpu cooler, but i cant manage to find any program that'll help me control my V6GT fan speeds. With my old mobo, CPUID Hardware Monitor Pro worked but for this speedfan, CPUID, nor easytune 6 work for me... you try anything yourself that worked?
@AfghanSon I don't use any software to control my fan speeds. My case fans are all connected to the power supply and the V6 GT CPU Cooler is controlled by the motherboard with its temperature sensors. :)
I just watched a video in which you compare a Cooler Master V8 vs V6. Do you think I'll be able to fit 2 Corsair Vengeance (High profile) ram sticks on dual mode with a Cooler Master V8 on this motherboard?
@alsr71 On the GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard I can't run High-Profile Memory in Dual-Channel Mode with the V6 GT. But on the GA-990FXA-UD7 motherboard I can run Dual-Channel with the V6 GT, because the spacing and layout is a little different.
@deepvoicefromraleigh The UD5 has the same Memory DIMM spacing like the UD3. UD7 is different. You can watch my review on that motherboard on the Nicolas11x12TECHX Channel.
@Nicolas11x12TECH Thanks. I finally decided on this case, with the UD5, but was thinking about the V6 heat sink. I'll probably just stick with the Cooler Master Hyper 212. I want to use some G. Skill memory so I'll need the space.
@ivreed I just meant the possibilities for case cable management. My PSU cables are way too short to do any cable management and that's why I have to leave it like that. Besides I always have to switch components and so cables would sometimes be too long or too short. LOL
@Nicolas11x12TECH dude its all good i have the same case but i a have a ultra 850 psu with alot cable management . you have a great set up .and yes we all have a budget and you have done very good on your build nice job.keep up the good work! and i like that your a amd guy
@Nicolas11x12TECH getting what you pay for!ive got amd 955 o/c 3.85 43c running 3 years 24/7 .i can play a blueray movie ,do a virus scan , a game install .play a game on steam ,photoshop sc5 running all at the same time with no lag .all that for 185$ thats priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amd forever
Looks like a really nice build you got there. Can't wait to hear what the FX-8150 is like! :D
Oh, and how would you rate the Storm Scout out of 10 for cable management? I'm thinking of getting one myself, but worried that it's not going to be much of an upgrade from my NZXT M59.
@Neoplan6o Thank you! Me too, it must be so great I bet, will be a true beast, believe me :) I'd give the CM Storm Scout case 6 out of 10 for the cable management. :)
You had a problem with the motherboard and the V6? The ram memory slots covered with the V6?
